Day 1: Arrive in New Orleans
You're likely to arrive midday at the MSY airport (Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport). Take an Uber to your hotel and check in! New Orleans has some amazing hotels to stay at. Once settled in, get ready for dinner! Head over to Meril. This is one of my favorite restaurants in NOLA and it holds a special place in my heart as my boyfriend and I love to go on date nights here! They are known for their small plates to share with the table so you can get a variety of food to try. Emeril Lagasse, a well-known chef, restaurateur, TV personality and author, is the owner of Meril, along with 20 other restaurants around the world! (Fun fact — if it is your birthday, make sure to tell your server as they have a delicious cotton candy desert with sparklers).
Day 2: National World War II Museum
Wake up and put on your walking shoes! Head over to Ruby Slipper to grab the best breakfast in town! Their homemade biscuits and hollandaise sauce are to die for! My favorite thing to get is the "Chicken St. Charles" and it is served on a homemade buttermilk biscuit. After breakfast, head over to the National World War II Museum. Learn all about why it was fought, how it was won and what it means today. When done, head back to the hotel to freshen up for dinner. If you are in the mood for steak, I would 1000% recommend Chophouse. The seafood platter is unreal. Don't forget to pair it with a steak. This is easily the best steak restaurant that New Orleans has to offer!
Day 3: French Quarter and Jackson Square
Rise and shine, it's time to see the famous French Quarter! Head over to Bourbon Street to grab brunch at Court of Two Sisters. Make sure to sit in the pretty outside courtyard (it gives you the real French vibes of being in New Orleans!). After eating, it's time to hit Bourbon Street! The famous Bourbon Street is the place to party! It is best to go during the day! Don't forget to grab some drinks, especially a hand grenade. Then head around the corner over to Jackson Square, where you can see the St. Louis Cathedral. Jackson Square is unique to New Orleans. You can find street music, magic shows, art to buy, etc. Don't forget to stop and get some of the best beignets ever made from Cafe Du Monde. After a delicious treat, head to the front of Jackson Square and jump on a horse and carriage and get a tour of the city! They will take you through the streets of NOLA and tell you all the history from place to place. Once done, head back to the hotel to freshen up for dinner. Where you can then head over to my favorite sushi spot in town, Rock-n-Sake. The sushi is unbelievable and the vibes are unmatched. From dinner, take a walk down Fulton Street and either go to the newly renovated Caesars Casino or get some bowling in at Fulton Alley.
Day 4: Sightseeing and Shopping
Spend the day sightseeing and shopping! Head over to the River Walk to do some shopping. From here, you can walk by the Mississippi River and see the city views. Grab some Italian lunch or dinner at Sofia. Then end this amazing trip with a drink at my favorite bar in the city, The Four Seasons Chandelier Bar. The cocktails are to die for and the vibes are immaculate. The beautiful chandelier is perfect for pictures!
Day 5: Departure Day
It's a sad day as you have to leave to go back home, but trust me you will be back soon to eat the best food of your life!
