Relax at your resort

Traveling for a wedding, especially as part of the bridal party, can keep you running around for much of your trip. Once all of the tasks and responsibilities are complete, be sure to take some time for yourself and enjoy a coffee in your room/on the balcony when available. Grab a beverage and sit by the bar to decompress and enjoy the abundance of nature the destination provides. Reserve at least one day to just appreciate the resort and its amenities. If you don’t have the luxury of an extra day, help out by running errands on the property for the bride/groom so you can do some quick exploring.

Activity Day

Once all of the wedding festivities are complete, be sure to plan at least one or two days off the resort to experience everything Costa Rica has to offer. Planning with a travel advisor and tour guide offers you the opportunity to make the most of your day. With many tour guides offering 2-4 activities per booking, you can see and do so much in a short time. From waterfall repelling, to zip-lining, horseback riding and ATV rentals, the level of excitement is up to you!

Travel Days

Don’t sleep on the opportunity to use a travel day to check out the resort's dining options. With most resorts hosting multiple restaurants, bars, and cafés, be sure to drop in for a quick bite and beverage while you’re waiting to check into your room. Learn the names of the staff because they are working very hard to show you a good time. They will give you great recommendations and provide excellent hospitality during your transient times throughout your stay.

Day Trips

Enjoy visiting the local volcano, shopping district or tour to see a sloth! Connect with your travel advisor to schedule any necessary reservations and transportation, so all you have to worry about is enjoying your trip!

Restaurant Recs for Marriott Hotel Hacienda Belen

Bar10 - Drop in for a fresh fruit piña colada or expertly crafted espresso martini. Enjoy a quick bite with a mustard sauce-topped fresh tuna app or flavorful shrimp quesadilla with a side of plantain chips.

Hacienda Kitchen: Whether you’re dropping in for the expansive breakfast buffet, lunch or dinner, be sure you don’t skip this option. Get there early for the breakfast buffet to grab a spot on the veranda that overlooks a beautiful view of the golf course.

La Isabela Steakhouse: Perfect for a romantic date night or to treat yourself to a solo dinner. The complimentary fresh bread is served with three butter/spread options, which are all divine. Pair your preferred entree with exquisite side dishes ranging from roasted veggies to lobster mac and cheese. Enjoy a house-recommended bottle of wine to complete your dining experience.

Casa Del Café: This is a great option if you need a quick on-the-go meal or coffee. The cafe is right at the hotel entrance and a great pit stop on your way back from the fitness room or spa. Prepared salads and decadent pastries are on display at this open-air restaurant with a beautiful view of the property's landscaping.

La Castilla: This luxurious bar offers exotic cocktails and a stunning view from the outdoor terrace. Giving a bold, library feel, the spot is perfect for a business meeting or quieter dining option.
