Curator’s statement

Bangalore is a beautiful city known as the "garden city" in India. It is also a city full of young creatives and tech companies. I lived in Bangalore for a year and would love to share my favorite parts about this friendly city.

Things to do in Bangalore

A serene garden path flanked by vibrant rose bushes leads to an elegant focal point in a botanical garden.

Bangalore is a food city where you can find many cuisines and amazing local restaurants. There is also a large coffee scene with specialty coffee shops opening everywhere.

While you eat your way through the city, here are a few of my favorite things to do:

  • Go to a local concert at one of the many small venues like The Raft.

  • Stroll through Blossom Book House to find some good reads.

  • Take a walk in Cubbon Park

  • Visit Lalbagh Botanical Garden

  • Tour the Bangalore Palace

  • Go shopping at Phoenix Marketcity

  • Take a day trip to hike Nandihills

  • Visit the shops at Commercial Street

Day Trips:

Just a 5-hour drive from Bangalore is one of my favorite resorts: Taj Madikeri Resort & Spa, Coorg. Nestled in the forest, this is one of the most beautiful places I've been in India. I would take a few days to road trip here.
