Curator’s statement
Having lived in Austin for almost a decade, the city holds a special place in my heart, not just for its vibrant culture and friendly ambiance, but particularly for its exceptional food scene. From the simple pleasure of starting the day with a breakfast taco, a staple in this culinary paradise, to the delight of indulging in upscale dinners, Austin's diverse food offerings cater to every palate. My personal favorite, Birdie's, epitomizes the city's charm with delectable bites and stellar service. Additionally, the city's coffee shops, such as Summermoon, offer more than just a caffeine fix - providing a cozy nook for both locals and visitors to soak in the city's laid-back yet lively atmosphere. This blend of culinary delights and welcoming spaces truly makes Austin a special place to visit, offering a taste of its unique spirit and flavor in every bite and sip.

Day Trips:
It’s absolutely worth a day trip out to Texas Hill County to visit the gorgeous vineyards and sights. My favorite, Adega Vinho, is located in Stonewall, Texas. With a beautiful tasting room and pizza food truck, you could spend an entire day out here. The winemaker (and awesome human), Michael Bilger, makes absolutely delicious wine including Estate wines made with grapes grown on site.
