Curator’s statement
When you think of London, key words like royalty, parliament, scones and clotted cream come to mind! When in search of a warm, cozy drink - most dream of the classic English Breakfast Tea. However, coffee is king in a city known for its ornate buildings, history, art, politics and football!

Things to do in London

Museums: Enjoy art and museums but prefer smaller ones that don’t take up too much time? Explore the free Tate Modern art museum, open to all ages, 7 days a week! Or Sir John Soane’s house museum and former home of neo-classical architect John Soane.
West End: If you’re visiting from the US, don’t skip out on enjoying a show on the West End! Check out what’s being offered, especially be on the lookout for classics (Les Miserables) that are not currently running on Broadway or new musicals/plays.
Parks: Needing some nature amidst the busy city? There are endless parks for children, leisurely walks, historic sites, etc. Hyde Park, St James Park and Kensington Gardens are the best of the best!
Stroll along the Thames River: take in all the landmarks, people watching, endless photo opportunities, markets & vendors along the way.
The Tube: The easiest way to get around the city is via The Tube. London’s metro system is clean, modern and easy to navigate. The Elizabeth Line is the newest to transport passengers and was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth herself in 2022!
Places to eat & drink in London

Coffee, coffee, coffee!
Saint Espresso: Located in the Hackney area of East London. Plenty of indoor/outdoor seating amongst their in-house roastery. Grab a coffee to go and enjoy a stroll along the nearby canals!
Buns from Home: Founded at the start of the Covid lockdown, BFH quickly became a staple around London with multiple locations. The star of the show is the hand-rolled croissant buns. The coffee is not bad either!
Redemption Roasters: With multiple London locations, RR is focused on social impact by training and employing prison leavers and people at risk of offending with the skills needed to secure meaningful employment. The ambiance and cortado were top notch!
QIMA Cafe: “The UK’s first tree-to-cup cafe” sourcing coffee beans from the most challenging environments around the world. In addition, QIMA offers a beautifully displayed case of house made pastries.
Fortitude Bakehouse: Beignets are available from 11am until sold out - this should tell you something! Be prepared to wait in the queue. Consider this a takeaway spot with a few benches outside for a quick moment to indulge your treats!
Camden Coffee Roastery: This charming roastery offers all day breakfast and brunch options, fresh juices, etc. They also offer workshops teaching latte art, how to pull an espresso shot and perfecting home brewing methods!
