Colosseum: Your journey begins with the iconic Colosseum, a testament to Rome's imperial past, where gladiators once fought for glory. Get a guided tour of one of the seven wonders of the world! Tip: Select a tour with entry to the dungeons where they would keep animals and gladiators!

Roman Forum: Nearby the Colosseum, the Roman Forum invites you to wander through the remnants of what was once the heart of political and social life in ancient Rome. Many grand ruins and buildings remain! Tip: Combine the Roman Forum tour with a Colosseum tour to take in all of ancient Rome!

Trevi Fountain: Nestled in between busy streets and buildings sits the impressive Trevi Fountain. Take in the sites of the beautiful fountain as you snap some classic pictures and selfies! Tip: Don’t forget to bring a coin with you to throw over your shoulder into the fountain, which ensures your return trip to Rome!

Pantheon: Enter into one of the oldest and most preserved temple-turned-church and take in all its beauty and architecture. Tip: Shoulders must be covered to enter inside this sacred place of worship.

The Spanish Steps: Located in Piazza di Spagna, these iconic steps are a must-see during your visit to Rome. Enjoy some gelato while people-watching and taking in the vibrant allure of the city. This is a great photo opportunity at the base of the stairs or even at the top, overlooking all of Rome. Tip: Remember that sitting on the steps is now prohibited to preserve their condition, so plan to enjoy the view while standing or walking.

Villa Borghese Gardens: Take some time out of the busy city and relax at the Villa Borghese Gardens. There you can view green space, sculptures, a serene lake, gardens and more. This open-air museum will allow you to take in the true beauty of what this city has to offer.

St. Peter’s Basilica: No visit to Rome is complete without a stop in Vatican City. Here, you must walk through the awe-inspiring St. Peter’s Basilica and admire the gorgeous and opulent architecture and decorations in this magnificent building. Tip: Go early in the morning to avoid long lines and crowds! Keep in mind, your shoulders and knees must be covered to enter.

Sistine Chapel: A must-see in Vatican City is the Sistine Chapel, perhaps most known for Michelangelo’s famous painting on the ceiling and walls. Tip: Photos are not allowed inside the chapel. Shoulders and knees must be covered to enter.

The Vatican Museums: Get a guided tour through the Vatican Museums and learn the history of this city-state that is the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church. See the artwork and masterpieces collected and preserved throughout the years.

Castel Sant’ Angelo: Initially built as a mausoleum, its use was primarily a fortress and castle that sits atop the Tiber River. Now, this museum is an interesting visit that immerses you in the history of Rome. Fun Fact: This fortress actually has a passage that connects to the Vatican so that the Pope can escape in case of an emergency!

Santa Maria Maggiore: This beautiful basilica is adorned with magnificent decorations, architecture and relics.
