Curator’s statement

As an avid foodie and skier, Jackson Hole stole my heart. The town is small enough to explore and ski in a weekend, but if you have the time, you can spend over a week there and not run out of things to do. It's beautiful, charming and a luxurious adventure.

Where to stay

Day 1: Arrive, Explore, Eat!

A couple with their back towards the camera, looking out onto the snowy mountains of Jackson Hole.

You're likely to arrive midday or evening in Jackson Hole. Check into your hotel, freshen up, then head to town to explore shops. Visit and make a hat at the famous Kemo Sabe. Head back to your hotel if needed to change for the evening or go straight to happy hour at Gather before making your way to dinner at Glorietta Trattoria (reservations strongly recommended). Get some sleep before a big day of skiing!

Day 2: Hit the Slopes!

A couple dressed in black snow-gear, taking a break from the slopes, during a ski trip to Jackson Hole.

Fuel up at your hotel restaurant for breakfast, or opt for a local meat at either Picnic or Cafe Genevieve, time permitting, then head out to the slopes in the early. If you aren't a skier, consider taking a snow shoe hiking tour (I recommend the Hotel Hiking Experience, Hole Hike which typically includes an awesome lunch). After a full day of skiing Jackson Hole, head back to the hotel and relax. Maybe unwind in your room's hot tub before getting ready for the night. Head to Amangani early for photos (trust me), and a cocktail before dinner. Enjoy the live music while dining at the Grill at Amangani (reservations required). After dinner, visit the famous Million Dollar Cowboy bar for a night cap before calling it a night.

Day 3: Waffles on top of the World!

A fire-orange sunset over the snowy mountains of Jackson Hole.

Wake up and make your way to the Jackson Hole tram for a ride up to Corbet’s Cabin for delicious freshly-made waffles at 10,450 feet!!!(pro tip: In the warmer months, you can hike or bike down after breakfast). I suggest getting picked up from the bottom of the summit for a snow shoeing experience, if you skied the day before, or are heading back into Jackson Hole for more shopping and exploring.

Eventually you'll want to make your way to Persephone Bakery (this a MUST) for the best lunch of your life. This place is also exceptional for breakfast and / or brunch.

Head to the airport and dream of Jackson Hole until you return.

Day 4: Ski, Spa, and Snake River Grill!

A couple standing at the bottom of a staircase, looking at a Christmas tree in front of a window, with a view of the natural landscape outside.

If you are lucky enough to have 1 more day in Jackson Hole, I recommend skiing an additional day or half day, exploring Teton Village and visiting the spa at the Four Seasons. If you have kids, you may consider a sleigh ride to see the elk and having dinner at Snake River Grill (reservations strongly recommended).
