Things to do in Amsterdam

A bicycle rests against a bridge railing, framed by red flowers and an urban canal scene.
  • Step back in time at the Anne Frank House - get your tickets early (sales open six weeks in advance). They sell out fast.

  • Take a relaxing cruise on the canals. My favorite company to book with is Pureboats Amsterdam. Enjoy prosecco and cheese while getting a history of the city.

  • Take a morning run with Go! Running Tours and see the city while breaking a sweat!

  • Head out of town for a tulip bicycle tour (spring season)

  • Don't miss a Genever tasting at Wynand Focknik.

  • Walk through Vondelpark and soak in the scenes.

  • Wander the vibrant Jordaan neighborhood with its charming streets and cozy cafes.

  • Make a stop at the Van Gogh Museum.

Places to eat & drink in Amsterdam

A bartender skillfully pours a drink at a bar to a person seated in front.
  • De Kas - A restaurant in a glass conservatory for a delicious prix-fixe menu.

  • CT Coffee and Coconuts - A three-story cafe located in a former 1920 cinema serves all day breakfast.

  • Hangar - Overlooking the river in Amsterdam Noord, you can't miss the French and Italian inspired menu.

  • La Perla - Don't miss this spot for the best pizza in Amsterdam.

  • Mook Pancakes - Enjoy an inventive twist on the classic Amsterdam dish.

  • Pulitzer Bar - Have a craft cocktail and this cozy bar in the Pulitzer Hotel.
