Curator’s statement
Prague transforms into a magical fairy-tale in the winter. The city's baroque and Gothic architecture combined with snow, create a picturesque winter wonderland. The iconic landmarks like the Charles Bridge and the Prague Castle look particularly enchanting during the winter months. When I went for Christmas a few years ago, the Old Town Square transformed into a charming market filled with yummy treats, festive lights and handcrafted goods. It was one of the best winter trips of all time. There are multiple ice skating rinks for all ages to enjoy, and fewer tourists visit Prague in the winter, allowing for a more intimate experience. Savoring that hot chocolate in a cozy cafe and exploring Prague's culinary scene was for sure an unforgettable experience.

Day 1: Arrive and check in

After you check in at your hotel and leave your bags, I recommend you head to the Old Town Square for a stroll along the charming Christmas market. Grab a trdelník (traditional Czech dessert) and a cup of warm hot chocolate as you walk around the Prague Astronomical Clock, The Church of Our Lady Before Before Týn before you head towards the iconic Charles Bridge. If you're there for New Years Eve, you're in for an incredible firework show. Once you cross the river, visit the famous legal graffiti 'John Lennon Wall'.
Treat yourself to some mouthwatering Mexican cuisine at Alebrijes, Cocina Mexicana restaurant with stellar reviews, only a few minutes away from the Jon Lennon Wall. End the night with ice cream from Crème de la Crème as you make your way back to your hotel.
Day 2: Discover Prague

Start your day with breakfast at Bistro Monk (reservations needed). A laid-back eatery with an outdoor terrace, serving all-day breakfasts and pancakes. Book a Castle and Monastery Segway tour for a fun way to explore the city. Visit the Prague Castle and enjoy views of the city from one of the highest viewpoints. Savor a warm cup of hot chocolate at The Miners Coffee Charles Bridge or enjoy a drink at the Terasa U Prince, a picturesque little rooftop with views of the Old Town Square.
You could opt for a small break at the hotel or head to the ice rink at Wenceslas Square for some skating fun. An alternative would be to visit Prague's National Museum, established in 1818 with a range of natural science and history exhibits. Take it one step further and experience a night at the historic and lavish Prague Opera. Depending on the program, you can either attend a classical opera, ballet or a contemporary performance.
If you decide to skip all the above, head over to Next Door restaurant by Imperial (needs reservations) for a fine-dining Czech culinary experience.
Day 3: Cruise of the Vlatva

Head to Café Savoy, a refined restaurant (needs reservations) with a lavish wooden interior for breakfast. Go to Na Příkopě street for some shopping. Maybe venture into Pařížská street for more upscale shops. After putting your bags back at the hotel, go for a one-hour cruise of the Vlatva with a tour of Prague’s historic attractions.
Once done, go to Riegrovy Sady Park to watch the sunset and enjoy great views. While there, grab excellent coffee and a yummy snack at Cafefin. You'll find cute little boutiques in the area, perfect for souvenirs.
End the night at the Michelin-recognized La Finestra in Cucina restaurant (needs reservations). A relaxed & cozy eatery with exposed brick walls serving delicious Italian cuisine.
