Things to do in Paris
Museums
Exploring Parisian art museums is a journey through history, culture and artistic brilliance. The Louvre, with its vast collection, including the renowned Mona Lisa, provides a rich immersion into the world of art. The Musée d'Orsay, housed in a former railway station, showcases an impressive collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masterpieces. My personal favorite is the Musée de l'Orangerie. The large-scale Water Lilies paintings by Claude Monet, are not to be missed. Each museum has its own charm and significance, offering a diverse range of artistic styles and periods.
Electric Bike Tour
My favorite adventure was a guided electric bike tour. It is an excellent choice for those seeking a dynamic and immersive way to explore the city and its hidden treasures. Riding through the charming streets of Paris provides a unique perspective, allowing you to cover more ground while still enjoying the city at a leisurely pace. From the historic architecture to the lively neighborhoods, the tour offers an opportunity to discover hidden gems and capture the essence of Parisian historical moments. The electric bike tour make the journey accessible for various fitness levels, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all participants, from children to grandparents.
Places to eat & drink in Paris
Dining at the Eiffel Tower is an iconic experience that combines breathtaking views with gourmet cuisine. The ambiance of the restaurant, whether it's 58 Tour Eiffel or Le Jules Verne, is truly unparalleled. The sparkling lights of Paris at night create a romantic setting, and the delectable French dishes add to the overall enchantment. The attentive service and the opportunity to see the city from such a unique vantage point make this dining experience unforgettable.
After a day exploring The Louvre, enjoy a delicious lunch at LouLou...outside if the weather permits. Loulou is a chic restaurant located in the heart of the Palais Royal, offering a sophisticated and fashionable ambiance. The restaurant's stylish decor, with its blend of modern and classic design elements, sets the stage for an elegant dining experience. The terrace, overlooking the beautiful gardens of the Palais Royal, adds a touch of tranquility to the vibrant atmosphere, my favorite place to dine. You can also see the Eiffel Tower in the distance.
Loulou's menu features a delightful fusion of traditional French and Italian cuisine with a contemporary twist. The dishes are meticulously crafted with an emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients. From appetizers to desserts, each plate is a work of art, showcasing the culinary expertise of the chefs. The menu caters to a variety of tastes, offering a selection of seafood, meat, and vegetarian options. Loulou is known for its exquisite truffle dishes, and both the truffle risotto and truffle pizza are standouts. Both dishes, infused with the earthy aroma of truffles, are a culinary delight. After all that walking through the massive Louvre, you have earned dessert! Indulge your sweet tooth with Loulou's signature Chocolate Millefeuille. Layers of delicate puff pastry, sandwiching rich and velvety chocolate ganache, with a drizzle of raspberry coulis adding a touch of fruity brightness. Each bite is a symphony of textures and flavors, creating a memorable conclusion to your dining experience.
Paris has so many wonderful places to enjoy a cocktail at any time of the day. A few of my favorites are Hotel Costes, Rosewood de Crillon and Cadelaria.
Inside of Hotel Costes, there’s a lively restaurant with terrace seating, and a trendy lounge/bar with live sets from international DJs.
Les Ambassadeurs Bar inside the Rosewood de Crillon is known for its luxurious and stylish ambiance. The décor is often elegant and reflects the grandeur of the historic Hôtel de Crillon. The bar provides a sophisticated setting for you to enjoy a cocktail. They also have a beautiful rooftop bar with stunning views of the city of lights.
Candelaria is a hidden cocktail bar behind a taco bar. The front of the establishment operates as a taqueria, serving delicious tacos with a variety of fillings. To access the hidden cocktail bar, you need to go through a discreet door at the back of the taqueria.
Inside Candelaria is an intimate bar with a bit of a speakeasy feel. Skilled mixologists prepare a diverse range of cocktails using high-quality ingredients. Try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
