Things to do in Miami

Pez Loco Restaurant & tequila Bar

Phillip & Patricia Frost Museum of Science - a great place to go as a family or if you have at least a couple of hours to explore the museum.

Brickell City Centre - an upscale multi-level shopping, dining and entertainment destination. If you forgot something for your upcoming cruise, you can find it here. From one of the breezeways you can see the colorful art on the surrounding highrise. The breeze that also gets pushed through is very refreshing on a humid day as well.

Brickell Point - a lovely area to walk along the waterfront. It is also only a 15-minute walk from the Four Seasons. If you have children, there is a playground perfect for young children. At the time of my walk, food trucks were gathering nearby.

Wynwood Area - colorful wall art, murals, neon art and sculptures. Everywhere you turn is a great spot for photo ops. This area also houses restaurants like Pez Loco and Mary G’s.

Day Trips:

A trip to the Everglades National Park is at least an hour's drive, depending on traffic and weather. If you are planning on using a service, allow for more time. Make note of the rainy season, which typically runs from May through November.

Places to eat & drink in Miami

Little Hen Bouron Batter French Toast

While walking among the shops in the Brickell City Centre I wanted a snack, but I didn’t want to ruin my appetite for my upcoming meal. Rodilla at 701 S Miami Ave hit the spot. It is a little taste of Spain in Miami, as there are over 150 locations in Spain. I was thrilled to see guava inside one of their cheese sandwiches and had that with a coffee.

Pura Vida - this was walking distance from my hotel, Hilton Miami Downtown. I would recommend any of their coffee drinks. The location is great for a quick drink or if you want to sit and have a healthy meal.

Versailles Bakery - I wanted to explore Little Havana while I was in Miami and get myself a Cubano sandwich. Established in 1971, with everything made fresh daily, I knew I could get one here. The pastry counter is a sight for the eyes as well. Don’t let the environment intimidate you, the staff will speak English if you don’t speak Spanish.

Bellini Coconut Grove - if you can reserve an outdoor table, I highly recommend the view. We sat outside at sunset. The Italian food is rustic and delicious. I had the lasagna and it melted in my mouth. I also recommend their Bellini cocktail. The staff gave the most exceptional service. I would recommend reservations in advance.

Little Hen - if you want to feel like you are in the English countryside while you are in Miami, this place is for you. The food was amazing, and so were the drinks. We made reservations in advance since our party at this time was a group of 13. Relaxing setting and beautiful decor inside and out for taking pictures.

Mary G’s - a bright and happy corner on the 1st floor, just off the lobby of Arlo Wynwood Miami Hotel. A delicious variety of coffee and teas is what caught my attention. I did not order from the food menu as I ordered a cappuccino before I headed out to explore the surrounding wall art on my way to lunch at Pez Loco.

Pez Loco Restaurant & Tequila Bar - the tacos were delicious and completely satisfying. A very elegant, yet relaxed restaurant with a large drink selection. Our group of 5 was able to walk in at opening without having a reservation on a weekday. Our group also enjoyed the music. It was the perfect spot for refueling before catching a ride to the airport.
