Day 1–2: Arrival: The gateway to adventure
Your journey begins in Arusha, the gateway to Tanzania’s iconic destinations. After touching down at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you’ll check into a luxurious retreat like Arusha Coffee Lodge, surrounded by fragrant coffee plantations. Spend your first day unwinding, soaking in the serene atmosphere or taking a leisurely trip to Arusha National Park for an introduction to Tanzania’s natural beauty.
Day 3–9: Conquer Mount Kilimanjaro (optional for the adventurous)
If you’re up for a once-in-a-lifetime challenge, it’s time to take on Mount Kilimanjaro. Opt for the Machame Route, a 7-day trek that combines spectacular scenery with excellent acclimatization. You will be guided by top-tier providers and skilled porters who will ensure your comfort, manage the tents and prepare your meals. Reaching the summit at Uhuru Peak is a moment you’ll never forget — standing above the clouds at 5,895 meters is pure magic.
Did you know?
Mount Kilimanjaro is not only Africa’s highest peak but also the tallest free-standing mountain in the world, rising dramatically from the surrounding plains.
For those who prefer to skip the climb, don’t worry — Tanzania’s safaris are more than enough to keep your adventurous spirit alive.
Day 10–13: The Serengeti: Witness the Great Migration
Next, it’s time to head to the Serengeti National Park, where wildlife roams freely across endless plains. Depending on the time of year, you’ll have front-row seats to the Great Migration, a natural wonder featuring millions of wildebeest and zebras on their epic journey.
January–March: The southern Serengeti becomes a nursery as the calving season unfolds.
July–October: Thrilling river crossings at the Grumeti and Mara Rivers draw predators and photographers alike.
Stay at a luxury lodge like Singita Grumeti or Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti. Here, every detail — from private plunge pools to gourmet dining — is designed to immerse you in comfort and the wild.
Did you know?
During the Great Migration, wildebeest are known to collectively travel up to 1,800 miles a year. Making it one of the longest and most demanding migrations in the animal kingdom!
Day 14-15: Ngorongoro Crater: The Big Five await
From the Serengeti, venture to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a haven for wildlife. Picture yourself descending into the crater’s lush expanse, surrounded by a breathtaking amphitheater of cliffs. Here, you’ll spot the “Big Five”: lions, elephants, leopards, buffalo and rhinos.
Stay at the iconic Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, where the dramatic decor and jaw-dropping views make for an unforgettable experience. Your time here is a perfect blend of luxury and nature.
Did you know?
The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, formed over two million years ago, and is often referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the World"!
Day 16-19: Paradise found in Zanzibar
After the adventure-filled days on the mainland, it’s time to relax in Zanzibar’s tropical paradise. A short flight brings you to this enchanting island, where powdery white beaches and turquoise waters await.
Check into an exclusive beachfront resort like Baraza Resort and Spa or The Residence Zanzibar. Spend your days lounging by the ocean, exploring Stone Town’s rich Swahili culture or indulging in a private spice tour. For the ultimate indulgence, enjoy a sunset dhow cruise or a rejuvenating spa treatment.
Did you know?
Zanzibar is also known as the "Spice Island" because of its rich history in the global spice trade, particularly cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon.
Whether you’re snorkeling in coral reefs or dining under the stars, Zanzibar is the perfect finale to your Tanzanian adventure.
