Day 1: Arrive in buzzing Cairo

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and drop off your bags. Then, head to Zamalek for a memorable dinner by the Nile at Crimson, a stunning rooftop restaurant that offers breathtaking views as the sun sets over the water. For your stay, consider the Marriott Mena House, where you can enjoy exquisite views of the Pyramids right from your room.

After dinner, immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of Khan El Khalili, one of Cairo’s most iconic bazaars. Explore the maze of shops brimming with spices, traditional Egyptian attire, silver jewelry and unique souvenirs. Take a moment to relax at the historic Naguib Mahfouz Café, where you can sip on a refreshing drink or enjoy some shisha.

If you’re still up for adventure, venture downtown for a bar-hopping experience at some of Egypt’s beloved old bars, including the Greek Club, Carol and Café Riche. Each venue has its own charm and history, perfect for soaking in the local nightlife.

Day 2: Pyramids & museums

Rise early to visit the Great Pyramids of Giza before the heat and crowds set in. To save time, purchase your tickets online in advance. You can choose to hire a guide or wander freely, capturing stunning photos of these ancient wonders. After exploring, enjoy a delicious brunch at Khufu’s, located within the Pyramids area. Here, you'll indulge in upscale traditional Egyptian cuisine, all while taking in magnificent views of the Pyramids.

Next, make your way to the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), a true masterpiece of architecture and design. Explore its vast galleries, grand hall and impressive staircase, and don’t forget to check out the charming gift shop for unique local products.

After your museum visit, unwind with a felucca ride at sunset on the Nile. This traditional sailing boat experience offers a serene view of Cairo’s skyline as the city lights begin to twinkle.

Conclude your day at Pier88, a chic upscale restaurant that serves innovative drinks and delectable dishes, making it the perfect spot to reflect on your day in Cairo.

Day 3: Fly to Aswan

Fly to Upper Egypt and arrive in the stunning city of Aswan. For a regal experience, consider staying at the Sofitel Legend Old Cataract. Alternatively, the Movenpick Aswan offers great comfort at a more accessible price. After checking in, explore the vibrant town of Nubia. Don’t miss the chance to buy a gallabiyah (traditional Upper Egyptian attire), which makes for a unique souvenir. Take a felucca back to your hotel and enjoy a picturesque sunset dinner by the Nile.

Day 4: Aswan

Begin your day with breakfast by the Nile — it's a view you won’t tire of! Then, take a felucca to the Philae Temple, situated on its own island. Ask your captain to show you some scenic spots in Aswan for memorable photos. For dinner, indulge in a sunset dinner at the magnificent Benben Hotel, offering breathtaking views.

Day 5: Journey to Luxor

Arrange for a car and driver to take you to Luxor, approximately a three-hour ride away. Luxor is home to a third of the world’s artifacts, making it a must-visit. Consider staying at either the Sofitel Winter Palace or Al Moudira, both of which blend charm, luxury and character. Dine at your hotel before attending a captivating light and sound show at Karnak Temple — advance booking recommended.

Day 6: Temples galore!

You have two options: rise early for a breathtaking sunrise hot air balloon ride or enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel. Visit the Hatshepsut Temple, followed by the Luxor Temple. If you're up for it, add a morning visit to Karnak Temple as well. Enjoy a sunset dinner at El-Kababgy Restaurant before preparing for your journey home.

Day 7: Drive to El Gouna

Book a car and driver for a scenic four-hour ride to El Gouna. Choose to stay at The Chedi El Gouna or Steigenberger Golf Resort. Upon arrival, explore the marina and perhaps enjoy a coffee at Seventh Star. For dinner, don’t miss Chicha in downtown El Gouna for delightful Mexican cuisine. Cap off the evening with drinks at Barten or Villa Coconut for a lively atmosphere.

Day 8: A day in El Gouna

Rise and shine! Spend the day at Mahmya Island, a stunning paradise with crystal-clear waters and soft white sands. Be sure to book in advance; the boat departs from a private beach about 30 minutes from El Gouna. In the evening, indulge in a seafood feast at El Bahr Restaurant, which overlooks the sea and is a favorite among kitesurfers. If you're up for it, enjoy a nightcap at The Tap in the marina.

Day 9: Return to Cairo

Fly back to the vibrant city of Cairo. This is your last chance to pick up souvenirs or gifts for loved ones. For higher-end gifts, explore Nuniz for exquisite leather bags, or consider wellness products from Nefertari or Areej, known for their aromatherapy and essential oils. Conclude your trip with an authentic Egyptian dinner at Andrea New Giza.

Day 10: Farewell, Egypt!

Salam, Egypt! Time to fly back home with unforgettable memories!
