Curator’s statement
Northeast Ohio is home to an underrated gem. Cleveland is a city that caters to all. Cleveland and its suburbs somehow toe the line between that big-city vibe and an approachable metropolis. After attending school in the area, I fell in love with the city. I'm excited to share with you a little about what makes the Land truly magical.

Things to do in Cleveland
Sports
Cleveland is home to not just one professional sports team, but three. Their fans are diehards and it is always an exciting experience to see any of their teams, no matter the outcome.
See the Cleveland Guardians at Progressive Field
Progressive Field is perfectly placed in downtown Cleveland, making it easily walkable from a lot of hotels. Their food program includes many local favorites (Barrio, anyone?) and their fireworks are not to be missed.
Catch some B-Ball at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse
The Cavaliers' stadium is a stunner, even from the outside. Even out of season, there are plenty of exciting events hosted here throughout the year.
Be part of the "Dawg Pound" at the Cleveland Cavaliers Arena
The Cleveland Browns Stadium is closer to the lake, but still easily walkable from various parts of downtown. Before games, you can find fans flocking to Muni (Municipal) Lot for tailgating and they're happy to welcome visitors. And if you pick your stadium seats right, you'll end up in the Dawg Pound and maybe even see their adorable mascot (both the costumed one and their actual dog, SJ). Woof woof!
Other things to do
If sporting events aren't for you, Cleveland still has plenty to offer to keep you entertained.
Cleveland Metroparks Zoo
The Metroparks themselves are something I highly recommend visiting, but within the lush greenery, literally in the middle of a city, you'll find the Metroparks Zoo. You'll be in awe of the Elephant Crossing and get to see a wide array of animals. The zoo also has seasonal events that make it extra fun and perfect to visit no matter the time of year.
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Music lovers unite! It's said that you know you've made it when you're inducted into the Rock Hall and visitors get a chance to peruse the history of music. The building itself is stunning at first look, but it gets even cooler when you realize that the architects designed it to look like a record player.
West Side Market
I know historic is a word I've used often in this guide, but Cleveland's just a historic place and the West Side Market is no different. The Food Network has even spotlighted the market, which is home to over 100 vendors. You're guaranteed to find something for dinner or for your current cravings. From meats and dairy to baked goods and fresh veggies, the West Side Market has something for everyone.
But wait! There's more… if those aren't enough, you can see the Christmas Story House (yes, that one – don't worry, I won't triple dog dare you) and visit the Cleveland Museum of Art or Greater Cleveland Aquarium. Who knew there was so much to do?
Need to know
Cleveland may not be your first thought when you think of an ideal vacation, but you'll be surprised to see all it offers. From sports to nature to even a nice dash of pop culture, there is something for everyone in Cleveland. Whether you're a family on vacation, a couple wanting a romantic weekend or just visiting for business, I invite you to discover The Land.
