While often overshadowed by Paris, Lyon or Marseilles, the city of Toulouse in southwestern France is a charming gem not to be missed. Known as “The Pink City,” for its terracotta brick buildings, it is filled with quaint neighborhoods, historic landmarks and scenic landscapes well worth a visit. There are also plenty of day trips to take out of the city that make Toulouse a great hub for your explorations around this part of the country. Whether it’s exploring the city or venturing out, there are tons of things to do in Toulouse, one of my favorite cities in France!

Things to do in Toulouse, France

Lace up your shoes for a self-guided walking tour, one of the best things to do in Toulouse. It’s also the perfect way to soak in Toulouse's architectural gems and vibrant atmosphere. And what better way to acquaint yourself with a new city?
