Day 1: Chattanooga Riverwalk & Southern Belle Riverboat

  • Chattanooga Riverwalk: Take a walk along the Tennessee River. There are also bike rentals, but take note that only adult bikes are available, so biking may not be a suitable option if you have children with you.

  • Walnut Street Pedestrian Bridge: Take a walk along this scenic pedestrian bridge and take advantage of a great photo spot!

  • Lunch downtown: Dine on wood-fired dishes at State of Confusion.

  • Tennessee Aquarium: Enjoy an afternoon of family fun. It is recommended to purchase your tickets online in advance.

  • Southern Belle Riverboat: Cruise along the river enjoying dinner and sunset views. This 1.5-hour journey is a delightful way to spend your first evening in Chattanooga.

Day 2: Chattanooga Choo Choo & Ruby Falls

  • Chattanooga Choo Choo: Spend the morning exploring this historic train station turned into an entertainment district. Not only is the architecture stunning, but there are also shops, restaurants and entertainment to enjoy. There are great breakfast, brunch and lunch options here!

  • Ruby Falls: Journey through a cave to admire the popular 90-foot Ruby Falls. This adventure is about a mile long and although you are underground, the passageways are not extremely tight. This is a great activity for a hot summer afternoon, as it is much cooler underground. It is recommended to purchase tickets online in advance.

  • Point Park: Enjoy remarkable views and a stunning sunset at Point Park. This is a great place for families, as there is some history to discover, but also extraordinary views of the city.

  • Dinner downtown: Indulge in American comfort food at Wooden City.

Day 3: Glen Falls & Rock City Gardens

  • Hotel breakfast

  • Glen Falls: Hike through the woods to Glen Falls. This 2.3-mile roundtrip trail takes you to a hidden waterfall where you can wade in the water.

  • Rock City Gardens: Venture on a nature path the whole family will be sure to enjoy. Expect the path to take about two hours if you stop to enjoy the many points of interest along the way. It is recommended to purchase tickets online in advance.
