Places to eat & drink in Augusta, GA
Bodega Ultima: Enjoy one of their delicious breakfast sandwiches such as the Basque Sandwich which takes the regular breakfast sandwich up a notch with ricotta, chorizo and house aioli.
The Boll Weevil Café and Sweetery: Enjoy a Grown-Up Grilled Cheese with homemade pimento cheese and applewood smoked bacon on house-baked sourdough bread. Don't go home without at least boxing up a slice (or two!) of one of their delicious cakes. You'll have to take a slow walk by their display case to choose your favorite.
Augustino's Italian Eatery and Prime Steaks: Enjoy this upscale Italian option located in the Marriott downtown for lunch since that is when it has its pasta bar.
Abel Brown Southern Kitchen & Oyster Bar: If you like seafood, be sure to plan a nice night out at this popular local spot.
T-Bonz Steakhouse: This place is always packed and is the go-to steakhouse for locals. It is especially known for its Southern-style ribs.
Nacho Mamas: This is a go-to local option for a reasonably priced Mexican meal in downtown Augusta.
Farmhaus Burger: Stop in for quick and delicious burger and milkshake options.
Manuel's Bread Cafe: This one is located in the Hammond's Ferry area of North Augusta, South Carolina, but you will want to make the short drive over the bridge to enjoy al fresco dining on a mild evening. Their Old-Fashioned Caesar and Steak Frite or Chicken Piccata is a great place to start but be sure to save room for one of their homemade desserts.
The Larder: This is a great BBQ spot in the Hammond's Ferry area. I recommend trying the Larder Benedict or another brunch favorite.
Rooted Coffee House: This coffee house and cafe is located a short drive away in Evans. Try a seasonal favorite such as the Pecan Pie Latte with housemade pecan pie syrup, whipped cream, and praline pecans. Combine it with a fresh Acai Bowl for breakfast or Turkey Brie sandwich with peach pepper ginger jam on a pretzel bun for lunch.
Inner Bean: This is a closer option for a coffee and cafe. Try one of their signature flavors such as the Tour of Europe or Magic Carpet Ride paired with something sweet or savory depending on your mood.
New Moon Cafe: If you're in downtown Augusta, this is a great option for a quick and delicious meal or coffee for breakfast or lunch. Their menu offers unique options that are made fresh.
Lil' Dutch Bakery: Stop in for one of their Caramel Nut Rolls or another one of their fresh pastries. They can also often be found at the downtown farmer's market on Saturdays.
The Pie Hole: Order a local homemade southern comfort pie to bring home and enjoy.
Remember to get reservations for any of the restaurants listed well in advance if you plan to visit during the Masters Tournament week.
