Day 1: Arrival in Monterey & dinner at Pacific Grove

After arriving and checking into your hotel head to Pacific Grove for dinner. You cannot miss out on the amazing fresh seafood options in Monterey - I recommend Passionfish. This sustainable seafood-focused restaurant serves innovative dishes like seared scallops and black cod with fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Day 2: Aquarium visit & 17-mile drive

Grab breakfast at Cafe Guarani, a cozy cafe whipping up coffee, pastries and empanadas, including gluten-free and vegan options. Head to the world famous Monterey Bay Aquarium in the morning before the crowds. After exploring the Aquarium, head to Alvarado Street Brewery for a beer and some great light bites. Take your time driving the 17-mile drive around Pebble Beach Golf Course and take in the stunning coastal views. Check out the The Pro Shop and grab some Pebble Beach branded gear.
Day 3: Whale watching & exploring Big Sur

Start your morning exploring Fisherman's Wharf. If you are feeling adventurous, take a whale watching tour. I recommend Discovery Whale Watch, they did an amazing job on our tour. Whales are in Monterey Bay, year round but check out the different seasons before you go.
While by the bay head to Sandbar & Grill for lunch for a quaint waterside kitchen with seafood recipes and marina views, plus weekly specials & Sunday brunch.
In the afternoon, take a leisurely drive down Pacific Coast Highway 1. Stop in Big Sur to check out the famous Pfeiffer Beach, known for its striking purple sand and the iconic Keyhole Arch rock formation. This hidden gem is a must-visit for nature lovers and photographers.
For dinner, head to Gusto Handcrafted for amazing handmade pastas and woodfired pizzas.
Day 4: Explore Carmel

You can't miss the charming town of Carmel. Wander through Carmel Village; Carmel is famous for its fairy-tale cottages and cozy streets lined with art galleries, boutique shops and cafes. Spend time strolling through the village to discover its unique charm and hidden treasures.
Check out Cultura Comida y Bebida for lunch and try the mezcal margarita.
Watch the sunset on Carmel Beach. Try Edwins Carmel where cool-marinated, deep-fried Balinese chicken and other Indonesian and Filipino fare is served with live music for dinner.
Day 5: Last stop at Alta Bakery and Cafe

Before heading home, check out Alta Bakery and Cafe for one last meal.
