Unique stay 1: The Mohicans Treehouse Resort & Wedding Venue in Glenmont, Ohio

A treehouse with RV parked in it.

Although the resort offers treehouse, cabin, and country home accommodations, the treehouses are incredible! Each treehouse is spacious with unique structures and features, including outdoor showers. Treehouses can sleep 2-6 guests. Some treehouse highlights:

White Oak: Original and largest treehouse designed by Pete Nelson, host of Animal Planet's Treehouse Masters.

The Nest: Perfect honeymoon suite with cathedral ceilings and gorgeous cedar-shingled dome roof.

Tin Shed: Features a corrugated metal exterior, a full-sized garage door in the back and a 100-foot extension bridge connected by a steel spiral staircase.

Silver Bullet: A renovated classic 1978 Airstream trailer perched 22 feet off the ground. This treehouse has a wrap-around covered deck and a stunning large bathroom with a steam shower is an addition which nearly doubles the space.

El Castillo (translation - The Castle): A two-story suite featuring a cherry octagon ceiling, a one-of-a-kind Amish-built handcrafted spiral staircase leading up to a large loft area, which opens up to a balcony and is furnished with a luxury draped king sized bed beneath a massive iron chandelier. The main level is equipped with a cleverly crafted hideaway queen-size murphy bed.

Things to do nearby

You will find Mohican and Findley State Parks, Pleasant Hill Lake, the Mohican Valley Trail with the Bridge of Dreams and local wineries.

Unique stay 2: Clear Sky Resorts in Williams, Arizona

Inside of a glamp with bed and a hanging swing.

Located in Grand Canyon Junction, Clear Sky Resorts offers a one-of-kind glamping experience. To enter the resort, you will drive through rugged trails that boast magnificent mountain views in a high desert location.

Your stay is an upscale sky dome with panoramic views of the stunning area. Each sky dome has its own unique theme to make the stay even more memorable. Some themes include "Stairway to the Stars," "80s Video Games," and "British Secret Agent." Themes are perfect for both the family and friends or the romantic couples getaway.

The glamping experience continues with amazing resort amenities, like a community fire pit where you can enjoy s'mores with other travelers, a lit frisbee golf course, yard games, and more. The resort offers many weekly activities, such as live music and storytelling, throughout the week as well. And of course, you're just minutes away from Grand Canyon National Park.

Unique stay 3: Treebones Resort in Big Sur, California

A little cabin with dome.

Treebones Resort is off the grid and provides truly luxurious options for the adventurous traveler who wants to enjoy nature and the coastline of Big Sur.

Yurts: The Yurt Village on the resort property consists of tent-like circular structures (yurts) that are furnished with queen-sized beds and beautiful pine wood floors. French doors open to a redwood deck with amazing coastal views. The yurts have a hot and cold sink vanity, but the full, shared bathroom is just a short walk from the yurt.

Autonomous Tents: These uniquely designed tents have a translucent fabric roof that stretches over a metal frame, providing natural light of the day and night to seep through. Glass front entrances with private deck and firepit overlook the Big Sur Coast for ultimate relaxation.

Campsites: The resort also offers rustic campsites where you pitch your own tent. The Human Nest campsite is a walk-in site and is a hand-woven nest with a full-size futon pad. The Nest has a picnic table and outdoor cooking station nearby. This is perfect for the true outdoor adventurist as it offers the best views on the property.

The resort offers fabulous dining options on site as well as hiking, massage, yoga, beachcombing, seasonal whale watching and a pool and hot tub.

Unique stay 4: Beckham Creek Cave Lodge near Jaspar, Arkansas

A cave resort with outdoor sitting and green trees.

Stay in a luxurious, 5800 square foot cave in the Ozark Mountains! The cave has three bedrooms each with a private bathroom, a honeymoon suite, gourmet kitchen and laundry room. The beautiful open floor plan has a huge living room with a natural rock waterfall. The luxurious rock formations make this a truly amazing place.

Things to do on the property

A guided UTV tour of the property is included with your stay. The property also features "Hammock Haven," the perfect place to relax and picnic. The "Eye of the Needle" is easy to hike to and provides an overlooking deck of the Ozark Mountains. You will see waterfalls, hiking trails, and the "Indian Encampment" that is proof of primitive Native American living. A frisbee golf course, horseshoe pit, cornhole and pond perfect for canoeing or fishing round out the property. A personal chef is on site and can be hired as well.

Unique stay 5: The Klickitat Treehouse in White Salmon, Washington

A charcoal grey treehouse on a deck.

Klickitat Treehouse: a gorgeous 500-square foot treehouse inspired by a mountain lifestyle and Scandinavian architecture, characterized with clean lines, neutral palettes and natural light. The treehouse boasts expansive windows and skylights, including 18 foot floor-to-ceiling windows that provide breathtaking views of the surrounding forest, the valley, and Mount Adams. The treehouse has indoor and outdoor showers and a kitchenette. Sleeps up to six guests.

Cedar Shack: A beautifully crafted trailer curated as a tiny cabin with a lofted bed, breakfast nook, cooking space and a wood burning stove for cold nights. The lofted queen bed sleeps two people, but you can bring a tent or another vehicle to sleep up to two additional people.

Things to do nearby

White Salmon, Washington, is the gateway to the Columbia River Gorge. This laid-back mountain town is a utopia for nature enthusiasts who love the great outdoors, craft beer, tasty wine and good food. It is also the center of the Pacific Northwest kiteboarding and whitewater scene.
