Children’s Museum: Both fun and educational, the children’s museum is filled with hands-on educations activities and exhibits.

Science Museum: The science museum is filled with a large number of interactive exhibits and also houses a planetarium, perfect for days when you want to take a break from being outside. 

New England Aquarium: Home to thousands of aquatic animals, this is the perfect stop for the animal lover in the family. 

Duck Boat Tour: The famous amphibious vehicles of Boston take you on a tour of the city, complete with a boat ride in the Charles River.

Codzilla: A thrilling high-speed boat ride through the Boston harbor, prepare to get splashed.

USS Constitution/Charlestown Navy Yard: For the boat lovers, the USS Constitution is one of the oldest ships that still remains afloat.  Next to the USS Constitution is the more modern USS Cassin Young destroyer.  

Tour Fenway: If you have a sports lover in the family, take a tour of the historic Fenway park, home of the Boston Red Sox.

Boston Common/Public Gardens: Visit the Boston Common and pubic gardens where, in the summer months, you can take a ride on a swan boat or, in the winter, go skating on Frog Pond.

Parks and Green Space in Boston

Esplanade: The esplanade runs along the Charles River and is great for getting energy out.  There is also a splash pad and playground located in the area.

Boston Common: The large park in the center of the city is a perfect wide-open green space for kids.

Charlestown Navy Yard: There are three great parks in the Navy Yard. The first is located across the river from the TD Garden.  Closer to the USS Constitution is the Naval Shipyard playground, which also has a splash pad in the summer months. At the other end of the Navy Yard, next to Spaulding Hospital, is Menino Park, which has an adaptive playground. 

Frieda Garcia Park: Located near the popular Back Bay hotels, this is great park to stop at in the mornings prior to setting out for the day. Tip: there’s a great bakery and coffee shop next door call Flour.

Friendly Toast: Located in Back Bay, Friendly Toast has an extensive and creative menu of breakfast favorites and fun drinks for adults.

Tatte Bakery: Multiple locations throughout the city, great selection of breakfast pastries and offerings as well a sandwiches for lunch.

 Lunch/Dinner in Boston

Warren Tavern: Located in Charlestown, one of the most historic pubs in the country.  Great options for all ages in a relaxed pub atmosphere. (Tip: their chicken tenders are a kid and adult favorite.)

Monument Restaurant and Tavern: If you find yourself hungry after walking the freedom trail, walk a few extra blocks and stop at local favorite Monument for wood-fired pizza and creative comfort foods.  

Picco: Located in the South End and known for their thin-crust pizza.

Night shift Love Joy Wharf: Located on the Charles River next to the TD Garden is local brewery Night Shift’s restaurant. Great drink and food options for adults and also a kids menu.

Legal Harborside: Located in the seaport, the multi floor restaurant overlooking the harbor is a great place to get your seafood fix.

Boston Sail Loft: Located in the North End, the casual dining restaurant has a great kids menu ranging from pasta to fish and chips.
