Things to do in Tokyo

Fantasy Springs Hotel

Park 10 of 12 on our list to visit all the parks in the world:

  • Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival: One of the most beautiful rides in the new land expansion, Fantasy Springs, was the enchanting Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival boat ride. As we journeyed through the attraction outside, the details were perfect and entertaining. Once the boat entered the inside, hundreds of lanterns floated into the night sky, creating a beautiful fairytale-like atmosphere. This is one of the prettiest scenes from any Disney ride.

  • Dining at Magellan’s: Magellan’s is widely recognized as one of the most unique and immersive dining experiences at Disney parks worldwide. Located in Tokyo DisneySea, this elegant restaurant not only offers world-class cuisine but also pays tribute to the rich history and spirit of exploration embodied by the Society of Explorers and Adventurers (SEA). This fine dining experience was worth every penny. Reservations are a must!

  • Journey to the Center of the Earth: The exhilarating Journey to the Center of the Earth ride was an absolute highlight. We boarded a unique mining vehicle and descended into a fantastical underground world filled with magnificent creatures and awe-inspiring landscapes. If you seek thrills, this is a ride you cannot skip!

  • Fortress Explorations: Fortress Explorations is a hidden gem within the park. This interactive area felt like entering a grand expedition, complete with towering castles and engaging exhibits. As we explored the fortress, we discovered numerous artifacts and secret passages that brought history to life. We easily could have spent a few hours completing this scavenger hunt.

  • 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Another standout attraction was 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. This ride blended captivating visuals with state-of-the-art technology. As we descended into the depths, we encountered incredible marine life and thrilling adventures that kept us entertained.

  • Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey: This musical ride captures the essence of the beloved film, showcasing cherished characters, catchy tunes, and vibrant scenes from Arendelle. It’s perfect for guests of all ages to enjoy singing along as they journey through this enchanting world. In my opinion, this brand-new ride is the best version compared to those in Hong Kong, Walt Disney World, and Tokyo.

  • Venetian Gondolas: One of the most romantic experiences at Tokyo DisneySea is the serene Venetian Gondola ride. We glided along peaceful waters while taking in the captivating views of the park. The gondoliers entertained us with stories of the park. This tranquil ride was an excellent way to relax and enjoy the park's beauty.

  • Aquatopia: Aquatopia offered a delightful mix of whimsy and fun. This unique water ride guided us over the water while maneuvering around splashes, twisting around waterfalls, and spinning past fountains.

  • Raging Spirits: For thrill-seekers, the Raging Spirits roller coaster delivers a quick adrenaline rush. With its stunning loop and high-speed twists, it promises excitement from start to finish. I enjoyed the use of smoke and fire on this outdoor ride.

  • DisneySea Transit Steamer Line: Taking the DisneySea Transit Steamer Line was a delightful way to enjoy the stunning scenery throughout the park, since DisneySea is all about the waterways. As we floated along the waterfront, we admired the beautifully crafted attractions that make DisneySea unique. This leisurely ride was a perfect break between attractions, allowing us to soak in the artistic design of the park.

  • Sea of Dreams: As darkness falls, the space transforms into a vibrant canvas of lights and colors. The stunning effects synchronize beautifully with the enchanting music. Spectacular storytelling unfolds, drawing viewers into a magical realm where dreams come to life. We booked a DPA for this show and had the most amazing seats.

Places to eat & drink in Tokyo

Fine Dining at Magellan's

Our favorite bites at Tokyo DisneySea:

  • Shrimp Bun

  • Popcorn (so many flavors) (2.50)

  • Magellan's for Fine Dining (make a reservation)

  • Gyoza Dog

  • Drinks and dessert from The Snuggly Duckling

  • SeaShell Carmel Ice Cream

We did take advantage of mobile ordering and found it very easy to use. We booked a Disney Vacation Package (DVP) and that made it easy to secure dining reservations at the popular restaurants before our visit.

Need to know

Tokyo DisneySea is undeniably a remarkable destination that surpasses typical Disney parks. With its breathtaking views, unique rides, and rich experiences, it offers a magical escape that truly feels special. Our stay at Fantasy Springs Hotel, along with these unforgettable attractions, was worth every penny and made for an extraordinary adventure. This is officially my favorite Disney Park in the world.

Additionally, the Japanese parks are the most affordable among all Disney locations worldwide when it comes to tickets, food, and merchandise. Tickets range from $54 to $75 per adult for a one-day visit, and Disney ears are priced at just $9 to $12!

If you find yourself in Tokyo, ensure you set aside time for this gem. Whether you are a Disney fan or just looking for a fantastical getaway, Tokyo DisneySea is an experience you won't forget!
