Things to do Girdwood
The Alyeska Resort offers the premier and biggest ski area, with five chair lifts and an aerial tram offering access to a plethora of skiing and snowboarding adventures. It also gives way to great hiking in the summer.
Other options are to visit Crow Creek Mine, or take the Hand Tram on the Winner Creek Trail. Sight-seeing tours out on the glacier are also fabulous excursions.
Places to eat & drink Girdwood
Spoonline Bistro: Serves dishes with an emphasis on Paleo and gluten-free cooking, using cold-pressed oils in preparations for organic or GMO-free products.
Chair 5 Restaurant: Boasts long whiskey and beer lists plus pizza, fresh fish and burgers in a lodge-like hangout with a pool table.
The Bake Shop: One of the best places to eat in Girdwood, and provides a seasonal, artistic selection of morning eats, sandwiches and picnic lunches.
