Things to do in Soufriere, St. Lucia

Diamond Falls, colorful waterfalls in the middle of lush greenery.

Relax on Sugar Beach: A white sand beach tucked in a valley between the pitons. It is in front of the Viceroy Hotel, but day trippers are welcome. Think pure white sand and warm crystal-clear water, surrounded by towering mountain peaks.

Walk the Tet Paul Nature Trail: An easy 45-minute hike on a well-marked trail with panoramic views.

Have a mud bath at Sulfur Springs: Relax in the warm water and cover yourself in the mud- the sulfur is said to have healing properties. It does smell a bit, but your skin will feel so soft afterwards! Remember to bring your own towel. Showers are available.

Venture to the world's only "drive in volcano" and see the bubbling mud pits and steam escaping from the vents.

For a quieter mineral bath experience, head to the New Jerusalem Mineral Baths.

Visit the Diamond Falls Botanical Gardens: Beautiful, lush gardens with tropical flowers galore! The Diamond Falls are beautiful and uniquely colored. There are also mineral baths available on site

Get out on the water and enjoy a different view of the Pitons on a boat tour.

Learn all about Cacao with a visit to the Project Chocolat: Tour the cacao groves, make your own chocolate bar, and enjoy lunch on site.

Pitons at sunset, rocky mountains outlined by a sunset in the background with a palm tree next to them.

JaLousie Grill: Tucked into the Viceroy Hotel, this elevated beachfront restaurant has options for everyone, including fantastic pizza. Enjoy beautiful views of Sugar beach from every table. Open to non-guests, reservations recommended.

Rabot Restaurant: Located in the Hotel Chocolat, enjoy a fusion of Caribbean and European food, all with a twist of cacao or chocolate. Excellent views of the Pitons.

Bamboo Restaurant: A good lunch option in the Fond Doux Resort, just down the hill from the Tet Paul Nauture trail. Enjoy a local lunch in a quaint wooden dining room, then check out the cacao pods drying in the sun. Don't miss the chocolate shakes.

Treetop Restaurant: Beautiful views with Indian inspired dishes. Feels like being in a treehouse! Try to go around sunset.

Seashell Beach Restaurant: Local staples right on the beach in town. Good spot for a couple of cold Pitons and watching the lights twinkle on the water in the evenings.

Emeralds: A vegan restaurant located inside the Anse Chastanet, using fresh local produce.

Orlando's: Local cuisine in Soufriere town. Embracing the concept of farm to table, the chef uses ingredients from locals farms and producers.
