Day 1: Pre-Game Day Fun

AT&T-Stadium-Texas-travel-guide

Start your Saturday morning off with a tour of AT&T stadium. Every Saturday before a home game, the stadium hosts a rally day. There are tours, activities on the field for kids, food, drinks and many opportunities for cool photos!

Once the tour is over, head on over to the town of Fort Worth. Stop in for a traditional BBQ lunch at Heim BBQ! The meat is served on platters and the sides are delicious! This place is quite popular, so there may be a wait!

Head on over to the historic Fort Worth Stockyards. Mosey through the stockyards, visiting the many stores, restaurants, bars and even some museums! I recommend Cowtown Winery, Second Rodeo Brewing and Side Saddle Saloon for a drink!

Be sure to be on the main road around 4pm to see the daily cattle drive down the road!

For dinner, walk a few blocks to Joe T Garcia’s. This Tex Mex restaurant is a must visit! There are no reservations, but the restaurant holds about 1000 people, so the line moves quickly! The menu consists mostly of enchiladas and fajitas. The portions are huge but oh so delicious!

If you are feeling up to it, there is a rodeo daily at 7pm at the Cowtown Coliseum. After the rodeo hit Billy Bob’s to experience the world’s largest Honky Tonk and dance the night away!

Day 2: Game Day

Be sure to get a good rest Saturday night as Sunday is the big day! Start Sunday morning off with Brunch at ‘The Social House’ in Arlington. This brunch contains mimosa flights and mimosa towers to get your day started off on the right foot!

Once brunch is over, it is time to get ready for the game! Many restaurants and bars around the stadium host tailgate parties! I recommend Bill Bates Tailgate Party. It is an open bar and BBQ buffet that starts 3 hours before the game!

Enjoy the football game and Let’s Go Cowboys!
