Day 1: Po'boys & power walks
Welcome to the Big Easy! After a quick 20-minute ride from the airport, you’ll check into your accommodation in the heart of the French Quarter. Drop off your luggage and freshen up because we’ve got a full day of delicious mischief ahead of us.
By now, you’re probably starting to feel hungry from all that travel, so let’s kick things off with your first authentic Cajun meal. Afterward, feel free to take a stroll down Bourbon Street to soak in the sights and sounds. Maybe you even see the occasional guy with a saxophone playing in the middle of the street (New Orleans is just like that). If you're feeling cultured, hit up one of New Orleans’ famous museums. Whether it’s the Voodoo Museum or the New Orleans Museum of Art, there’s something to spice up your day.
I hope you didn’t have too big of a lunch, because it’s time for a food tour! This is a chance to try some of the best Creole and Cajun flavors and hear some spicy local stories along the way. Sample some of the best dishes — jambalaya, crawfish étouffée, beignets and more.
At this point, the night is your oyster (and no, not the one you just ate on the food tour). By now, you can either call it a night or keep the party going with drinks at some of the best bars in the South. Whatever you choose, just be ready to take on the next adventure in the morning!
Day 2: Ghosts, swamps and brunch—oh my!
Rise and shine, party people! I hope you didn’t have too much fun last night, because today is packed with more thrills and chills. We’re kicking things off with a delicious brunch — the perfect cure for whatever came before.
After you’ve fueled up, it’s time for an adventure: we’re doing a combo tour of a haunted plantation and a swamp tour. That’s right, you’ll get a dose of southern history and supernatural spookiness in one go. First, you'll stroll through a plantation with a haunted past — because what’s a plantation without a few ghosts, right? Then, you'll take a swamp tour, where you’ll see alligators, moss-draped trees. This tour duo will be an unforgettable experience.
By now, all that walking around and swamp air has worked up an appetite for everyone. Head back to the French Quarter for a quick bite and freshen up before we dive into our final spooky activity of the day.
It’s time for the walking ghost tour! No trip to New Orleans is complete without hearing about the city’s haunted cemeteries and eerie voodoo history. Get ready to walk through the historic graveyards, and discover some of the city's darker secrets. By the end, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped right into a ghost story.
Once the tour wraps up, you’ve got two choices: call it a night and let the ghosts of New Orleans haunt your dreams — or keep the party going in the French Quarter. Either way, you’ll have plenty of stories to tell.
Day 3: Beignets, beats and Mississippi treats
After a jam-packed couple of days, it’s time to take a breather and soak in the energy of the Crescent City. Today’s all about chilling, exploring at your own pace and maybe indulging in a few last-minute treats.
Start by wandering over to the French Market, where you can browse all the quirky shops and grab some souvenirs that definitely won’t fit in your suitcase. Don’t forget to stop for a snack like the iconic beignets — powdered sugar on your face is practically a New Orleans souvenir. If you’re feeling adventurous, get a tarot card reading to see what the future holds (Spoiler: it’s probably more beignets).
Once you’re fueled up with snacks and the mysterious energy of tarot, take a leisurely walk through one of New Orleans’ many beautiful parks. Stroll around, enjoy the southern charm and get a final taste of the city’s unique vibe. Maybe even stop to listen to a local jazz band playing in a park — you’re in the Jazz Capital, after all.
Now, it’s time for your grand finale: dinner on a riverboat along the Mississippi with live jazz. This is your chance to kick back, enjoy the view and dine like you’ve been transported to the early 1900s. Whether you’re here to relax, enjoy the music or dance, feel free to enjoy this ultimate NOLA experience.
And if the night doesn’t want to end (and who would want it to?), no worries. I’ve got a list of some of NOLAs' finest jazz clubs to keep the party going... just make sure not to miss your flight tomorrow!
Day 4: A walk to remember...down Bourbon Street
Wakey Wakey! I hope you didn’t have too much fun to the point where you’ve forgotten that breakfast is still a thing. Before you check out, give yourself just enough time to grab some beignets to go — because, let’s face it, you can’t leave New Orleans without one last sugary bite.
Take a final stroll through the French Quarter, soaking up the charm, the jazz and those beautiful streets one last time. It’s like saying goodbye to an old friend — a friend that happens to have amazing food, music and ghost stories.
As you head to the airport, you’ll now understand why they call it "The Big Easy". But no worries — you’ll always remember those sweet treats, spicy food and scary stories.
Day 5: Depart
New Orleans is basically the foodie capital of the U.S., and I’m here to make sure you don’t leave with an empty stomach—or an empty wallet. Whether you're craving cajun, creole, or just popular southern dishes, I’ve got the inside scoop on all the iconic bites that won’t have your credit card crying.
There’s a treasure trove of spots across the city where you can indulge in local snacks and sips, so no need to stress about where to go. Just let me know if anyone in the group has any food preferences, allergies, or specific cravings. I’ll tailor the culinary tour to keep everyone fed, happy, and craving more.
Need to know
Not all tours are created equal, and I get it. Some of you might be more into haunting plantations, while others would rather haunt the best bars on a late-night crawl. Whether you’re into spooky vibes or sipping cocktails, let me know the vibe you’re going for. I’ll make sure your itinerary is tailored to your group’s perfect balance of adventure and mischief!
If you’re thinking of hitting up Mardi Gras, give me a heads-up ASAP — because the best hotels, restaurants and tours book up faster than a parade float zooming down Bourbon Street. Trust me, splurging on a solid hotel during the festival isn’t just about luxury — it’s about turning your Mardi Gras experience into something legendary. A killer hotel can take your trip from fun to unforgettable, especially if you’re lucky enough to watch the parades right from your balcony. Talk about a front-row seat to the madness!
