Things to do in Miami

Miami cruise is an unforgettable experience whereas there are many things which can be experienced before the cruise trip starts.

  • Bayside Market Place is the closest to the Port. It is the waterfront market with an extensive range of shopping options. There are many boutique restaurants, stores and places to grab a coffee.

  • You can go for a relaxing beach walk or enjoy the scenery on one of Miami’s beaches.

  • Visit South Pointe Park if you want to have breathtaking views of the turquoise Atlantic Ocean. This park is a wonderful place to spend time with family.

  • Check out contemporary artworks from around the world at Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM)

  • Visit Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science. It has four floors that include a huge aquarium, 3D planetarium and many other interesting displays.

Day trips

You can spend your waiting time exploring the nearby areas and some activities.

  • Calle Ocho: You can walk alongside Calle Ocho to see Cuban culture and grab some snacks at bakeries and local shops. Maximo Gomez Park is also a very interesting place where people smoke cigars and play dominoes.

  • Vizcaya Museum and Gardens: Explore Renaissance-inspired gardens and historical collections.

  • Bayside Marketplace: It is a two-level shopping center located in the heart of downtown. You can find more than a hundred boutiques, shops, restaurants and enjoy live performances by local artists.

  • Miami’s SoHo: You can find many interesting murals, arts galleries, restaurants, independent boutiques and much more.

  • Miami’s Nightlife: Miami has a vibrant nightlife scene. There are many night clubs, live performance areas and entertainment places. Concerts of international artists also keep happening on the beaches.

Miami has a wide variety of activities to do before the cruise trip starts. You can even have a very interesting boat tour that offers a quick trip of nearby areas.

Places to eat & drink in Miami

There is a wide variety of places to eat and drink near the port. You can also visit neighborhoods or beaches for more popular and interesting spots. Some options are:

  • Verde: A restaurant near Perez Art Museum (PAMM).

  • Katsuya South Beach: Located in SLS Hotel South Beach. Its outdoor dining is very interesting due to the gentle ocean breezes.

  • Prime 54: It is located at Fontainebleau Miami Beach.

  • Wynwood: It is an exciting neighborhood with a wide variety of breweries, lounges, clubs and many open-air restaurants.

  • Miami Design District: Try a variety of Cuban, Caribbean and Latin cuisines at food places in Miami's Design District.
