  • Steigenberger El Gouna: Situated right on the picturesque El Gouna lagoons, this hotel boasts spacious suites ideal for families with little ones.

For the serenity seekers:

  • Casa Cook (Adults Only): Escape the hustle and bustle at this minimalist adults-only haven. Picture infinity pools overlooking the sandy beach, focus on wellness and relaxation. It's the ultimate sanctuary for unwinding and relaxing.

For the budget-conscious:

  • Three Corners Ocean View (Adults Only): This adults-only hotel offers excellent value for money, with comfortable accommodations, a lively pool scene and easy access to the beach and El Gouna Marina. It's perfect for solo travelers or couples looking for a fun and affordable getaway.

  • El Gouna Tower: Located inside the Steigenberger El Gouna hotel, El Gouna Tower is the highest point in El Gouna with a 360 panoramic view of the glorious El Gouna. It is a great place to watch the sunset.

  • Desert Safari and Arabian Nights: Explore the desert with mountain buggies, enjoying sunrise or sunset. Or enjoy a desert evening with an enchanting atmosphere of a traditional Arabian night with live shows and delicious BBQ.

  • El Gouna Fish Farm: One of El Gouna’s hidden gems! Located next to the Egyptian House, this fish farm is a great place for picnics with its lush gardens, tranquil pond, and furry friends roaming around.

Places to eat & drink in El Gouna

El Gouna's diverse culinary scene caters to every palate, from international flavors to authentic Egyptian cuisine. To help you navigate this delicious landscape, I've compiled a list of some of my favorite restaurants:

Downtown El Gouna

  • Chicha: A Peruvian restaurant located in the heart of El Gouna. It is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, and it is known for its authentic Peruvian cuisine. Must try: The tacos and sangria.

  • Zia Amelia: Zia Amelia is a popular Italian restaurant in Downtown El Gouna. The restaurant is famous for its authentic Italian cuisine, made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. Must try: their wood-fired oven pizza.

  • Chuchichäschtli - Swiss House: This Swiss restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with traditional Swiss decorations and a nice outdoor seating area. Must try: Cheese and Toblerone fondue and the Hot Stone.

  • The Grill El Gouna: if you're craving yummy Egyptian cuisine with a view, be sure to add this restaurant to your list! Must try: Grilled Quails.

  • Il Gelato di Lialina: This is the place to go when you are craving creamy ice cream! Boasting locations in both the charming Downtown area and the vibrant El Gouna Marina. Must try: Almond and Hazelnut Gelato.

El Gouna Abu Tig Marina

  • Malu’s Deli: Located in the Marina, Malu’s Deli offers yummy food with health in mind. Their Salted Caramel Cake (house specialty and not so healthy) is a favorite of mine and must try. Your tastebuds will thank you!

  • Sotto Sopra: Hidden in the Marina area, Sotto Sopra restaurant offers delicious Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. Must try: The pizza and the Mediterranean Octopus.

  • MerBey El Gouna: Nestled within the charming Mosaique hotel in El Gouna's New Marina area. MerBey El Gouna is a haven for those seeking a traditional Lebanese dining experience. Must try: Lebanese mezza. 

  • Le Garage - Gourmet Burger: Delicious burgers and casual dining spot with a lively outdoor atmosphere overlooking Marina views.

  • The Tap South: Casual ambience with live music, signature wings (must try!) and drinks right at the center of Abu Tig Marina.

Need to know

With a touch of European charm, El Gouna boasts picturesque canals, vibrant nightlife and a wide range of restaurants serving international cuisine. It's the perfect blend of Egyptian warmth and European flair, offering a unique cultural experience.
