Things to do in Nashville, Tennesse

Where to stay:
JW Marriott Nashville: This hotel is truly in the perfect location - it's under a 10-minute walk to Broadway so you're super close to all the action but set back far enough to avoid any late-night chaos. The hotel itself has a grand, beautiful lobby area where friendly staff are waiting to greet you. The lobby level offers the relaxed, yet elegant, Cumberland Bar and the rooftop levels offers the high-end, stunning Bourbon Steak restaurant.
How to optimize 24 hours in the city:
Whether you're flying or driving into Nashville, plan to arrive around 10-11am. Drop your bags at your hotel, freshen up in the bathroom and hit the streets!
Grab lunch at Jalson Aldean's rooftop bar/restaurant. This is the perfect afternoon spot for lunch and music. Once you arrive, head upstairs to the rooftop area. Try to grab a seat in the outdoor area or right on the main floor in front of the stage. You can spend a few hours here enjoying crisp, cold beers, live music and the best short rib totchos (which are truly insane).
After lunch, get acquainted with Broadway and the surrounding area. Grab a souvenir and head over to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
Head back to the hotel for check-in (usually around 3pm), freshen up and grab a pre-dinner cocktail in the lobby at Cumberland Bar.
For dinner, head out around 6pm. For a high energy, casual vibe, visit Assembly Food Hall. This food hall is quite big and offers anything you could want. If you have your sights on hot fried chicken, Prince's has a kiosk on site (you can get your fix here and skip the long line outside at Hattie B's). There are bars and live music stages right on site so this is the perfect start to the night. If you prefer something more high-end, head upstairs to The Twelve Thirty Supper Club.
After dinner, it's time to hit Broadway again and listen to as much live music as possible. If you are only here for one night, aim to visit three places and spend one to two hours at each. Personal top picks are: The Stage and Lucky Bastard.
All in all, you can definitely extend your trip to fill an entire weekend and see much more that Nashville has to offer. However, if you are on a 24-hour time constraint, this is the best way to experience the iconic Music City!
Travel tip:
The live musicians make their money on tips and song requests. They will have tip buckets on stage and may walk around with the tip bucket at some point throughout their performance. For song requests, they may charge $10-$20 per request which you can process digitally or in cash.
