Day 1: Arriving in Barcelona

It's likely that you'll reach Barcelona in the morning. Once you've settled into your hotel, aim to combat jet lag by staying active, but don't push yourself too hard, feel free to take it easy.

Upon checking into your hotel, grab a quick meal before heading to the Picasso Museum to explore the paintings and drawings spanning Pablo Picasso's various artistic periods.

Take a leisurely walk through the El Born district, making your way to the Arc de Triomf and strolling through Parc de la Ciutadella.

Later in the afternoon, unwind at the hotel's pool before preparing for dinner.

In the evening, return to the El Born area for dinner at Casa Delfin

Overview of Day 2: Art and Food!

An assortment of vibrant and colorful fruits and vegetables at an open-air market.

Embark on a private three-hour tour to marvel at Gaudi's masterpieces, La Sagrada Familia, and Park Guell in the morning. Experiencing these iconic landmarks in person was truly extraordinary. The convenience of hotel pick-up made the experience even more enjoyable. Our tour concluded at Park Guell, leaving us in awe of Gaudi's architectural genius.

Following the tour, take a taxi to La Boqueria, an incredible food market bursting with tantalizing options. With so much delicious food to choose from, it will be difficult to decide where to start. After exploring the market, venture to a delightful restaurant in the Gothic Quarter, Peiti Rambléro, where you will savor amazing fish and seafood dishes. The black rice with squid paella and the seafood grill were particular favorites among our group.

After lunch, take a leisurely stroll and do some shopping in the Gothic Quarter before returning to the hotel to unwind by the pool.

In the evening, enjoy an unforgettable sushi dinner at Robata, where the ambiance added to the culinary experience.

Cap off the night with some delicious gelato at DelaCrem.

Make your way to Casa Battlo, another masterpiece crafted by Gaudi. It was truly astonishing to explore the intricate details inside the building, with the stairwell being a particular highlight for our family.

Spend the rest of your day leisurely wandering the charming streets of Barcelona. Pass by the variety of shops, admire Casa Mila, another architectural gift from Gaudi, which is also home to several art exhibits throughout the year. From there, you can make your way back to the Gothic Quarter.

By chance, you might stumble upon a hidden gem for lunch on a quaint side street called La Fonda. The food delicious, adding to the unexpected charm of your day.

To conclude your stay in Barcelona, consider dining at 7 Portes, where our family savored delectable paella and steak dishes, creating a memorable end to our time in this vibrant city.

Overview of Day 4: Arriving in Mallorca!

You can departe Barcelona, and head to Mallorca for an early afternoon flight. The journey is incredibly smooth and surprisingly quick, with just about twenty-five minutes in the air.

Upon arriving in Mallorca, make your way to a beachfront hotel, which would be your home-base for the next five days.

The remainder of the day can be spent relaxing, soaking up the sun, and enjoying the hotel's pool and beach amenities.

For dinner, dine at the seafront restaurant at A Popa, savoring delicious dishes while taking in the beautiful coastal views.

Overview of Day 5: Day at the Beach

A gorgeous scene of a secluded Mallorca beach, on a sunny day.

Enjoy your breakfast at the hotel before embarking on an adventure.

Make your way to Nikki Beach, a renowned beach club in Mallorca, where you can reserve a cabana right on the beach, to relax, swim, and enjoy snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters.

The beach in front of the club offers a plethora of water sports and activities, providing ample opportunities for adventure.

For lunch, indulge in the delicious offerings at the beach club. With a wide array of options ranging from sushi and burgers, to salads and guacamole, there is something to satisfy every palate.

After an exhilarating day at the beach, make your way to Palma for dinner. Take a leisurely stroll around the Old Town, soaking in the charming ambiance and historical beauty of the surroundings.

For dinner, savor mouthwatering steaks at The Merchants Palma, indulging in a delicious culinary experience to top off this memorable day.

Kick off your day by renting a car for the next two days, allowing yourself the freedom to explore beyond Palma.

Set off towards the Tramuntana mountains and make your way to the enchanting village of Valldemossa. Nestled amidst stunning scenery, the village appears straight out of a fairy tale. Spend time wandering through its picturesque streets, exploring charming shops, and treating ourselves to delicious gelato, all while marveling at the beauty that surrounded you.

Journey to Port de Soller, where you can immerse yourself in the refreshing waters, and soak up the sun on the sandy beach. For lunch, dine at Randemar, a unique fusion restaurant blending the flavors of Mallorca and Miami. The delicious dishes complemented the seaside atmosphere.

Continue the adventure by making your way to Cala Deia beach, navigating through the winding roads to reach the secluded rocky beach. The terrain is a bit rocky, and can at first seem challenging to navigate, however, once you reach your destination you will enjoy another refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters.

If you find yourselves passing through the charming and alluring village of Valldemossa again, pause and indulge in a delightful dinner at Cappuccino Grand Cafe, and savor the flavors of the region amidst the quaint surroundings.

A serene sunset with lavender, pink, and orange tones over the land and water of Mallorca.

On the final day of this incredible vacation, venture to the southeast area of Mallorca. Early in the morning, embark on a journey to Es Trenc, a stunning beach. I highly recommend arriving early due to its popularity. After enjoying the natural beauty, head to Cassai Beach House in Cala St. Jordi for a charming lunch experience.

The next destination to visit is a beach village called Cala d'Or. From there, explore Cala Pepita and Cala Gran, relish the sandy beaches, take refreshing dips in the water, and even indulged in some exhilarating rock and cliff jumping.

Returning to the hotel to freshen up for the final evening in Mallorca, conclude this fantastic vacation in Palma at Fervor. It is the perfect place to savor delicious cuisine and reflect on the unforgettable memories made during our time in this beautiful destination.
