Lights of the towering Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center.

Rockefeller Center: Visit this famous landmark to see the towering Christmas tree, go ice skating and take in unbelievable views from the Top of the Rock. While this iconic NYC Christmas location is typically bursting with tourists, opting for a weekday trip allows for more space to enjoy the Christmas spirit. Don’t miss the Saks Fifth Avenue light show and nearby St. Patrick’s Cathedral to complete the experience.

Christmas Spectacular: Watch the Rockettes perform at Radio City Music Hall, located near Rockefeller Center, to immerse yourself in the magic of Christmas. You won’t want to miss their famous kickline!

Bryant Park Winter Village: Explore the charming shops and eateries that fill this park, located in Midtown Manhattan. Complete with an ice skating rink and Christmas tree, it perfectly captures the holiday spirit, especially during less crowded times of day.

Macy’s Herald Square: Check out the renowned window displays that are transformed into whimsical winter wonderland scenes. Consider venturing inside to the 10 floors of retail space where you’re sure to find a gift for everyone on your list.

Union Square Holiday Market: A classic Christmas market filled with handmade crafts, art, seasonal treats and more.

Washington Square Park: This park in Greenwich Village is adorned with twinkling holiday lights and a Christmas tree, and you might even catch a musical performance!

Places to eat & drink in New York City (NYC)

Rolf’s: NYC’s iconic Christmas bar. Secure your spot by booking your reservation well in advance. Keep in mind, reservations require each person to order an entree, but it is so worth it for the festive Christmas vibes! This will allow you to skip the lengthy line and guarantee you entry.

Paddy Maguire’s: Elaborately decorated for Christmas and with no reservations needed, this is the perfect place to stop for a drink while exploring the city. Although it can get busy, you'll likely find it doesn't have the around-the-block lines you'd encounter at Rolf's.

Molly’s: A festive Irish bar that goes all-out with its Christmas decor. Located near both Rolf’s and Paddy Maguire’s, include this in your list of options to embrace the holiday spirit while you’re exploring Gramercy Park.

Lillie’s Victorian Establishment: With two locations, the Union Square spot is situated not too far from those mentioned above in Gramercy Park. Alternatively, visit their Times Square location when you’re in that area. You can make reservations whether you’re in the mood for their unique and tasty cocktails or considering grabbing a bite to eat as well. It’s a definite highlight of your holiday bar adventure!

Palma: Charming family-owned Italian restaurant on Cornelia Street in the West Village. With the authentic cuisine and intimate ambience, every dish on the menu promises a memorable experience. Plus, for Taylor Swift fans, it allows you to catch a glimpse of the inspiration behind her famous song named after the street.

Alta: Feel like you’ve escaped to the Mediterranean right in the heart of the West Village. With a menu featuring shareable small plates, you’ll be tempted to try a bit of everything!

The Dutch: Located in the heart of SoHo, indulge in modern American cuisine amid a stylish ambiance. The Chinatown Calamari appetizer is sure to please any seafood lovers at the table.

Soho Diner: This timeless classic American diner will make you feel like you've been transported back in time. Enjoy the vintage feel combined with a modern menu that will satisfy every craving from brunch to late-night.

Pershing Square: Delicious brunch spot located in Midtown Manhattan, providing convenient access to explore the Christmas hotspots afterwards.
