Curator’s statement
Barcelona is a city I can’t help but fall in love with over and over again. It is a playground for the chic and the adventurous, a perennial muse that’s constantly reinventing itself. With its vibrant, cosmopolitan energy and irresistibly laid-back charm, Barcelona is a love letter to both urban sophistication and Spanish flair. The streets are like an open-air museum, with Gaudí’s enchanting architecture and artistic touches visible at every turn. Even if you’re short on time, there’s no need to worry—Barcelona’s magic can still be savored in a few key spots. Here’s my guide to making the most of this incredible city in just a day or two.

Private tour of Casa Vicens – Start your day with an exclusive early morning tour of Casa Vicens. This vibrant Gaudí creation is a lesser-known gem that showcases his early genius. Enjoy an intimate exploration of its colorful and intricate design.
Lunch at Besta – A tasting menu is great way to dive into a local eating experience - the one at Besta is seafood focused and so affordable. The dishes are beautifully crafted, offering a modern twist on traditional Spanish flavors. They also have a house-made gin that makes for a great souvenir!
Moco Museum – Post-lunch, immerse yourself in contemporary art at the Moco Museum. Its eclectic exhibitions and eye-catching installations are a treat for art aficionados and trendsetters alike. It is the perfect size for a quick stroll!
Tuk Tuk or sidecar tour – In the afternoon, hop on a Tuk Tuk or sidecar tour for a fun and stylish way to see the city. This whimsical ride lets you effortlessly glide through Barcelona’s iconic streets and hidden corners, all while soaking in the city’s vibrant energy.
Evening in El Born – As the day winds down, wander through the trendy El Born district. Its charming streets are lined with chic boutiques and lively bars. Enjoy dinner at a local favorite or grab a drink and people-watch in this bustling area. Try a trendy eatery like Tapas 24 for a modern take on classic Spanish fare.
Day 2: Iconic sights and sunset splendor
Morning at Park Güell – Begin your day at Park Güell. Arrive early to beat the crowds and appreciate Gaudí’s whimsical creations in a serene setting. The panoramic views of the city are a stunning way to start your day.
Lunch at Dos Pebrots (run by a former El Bulli head chef) – This creative tapas restaurant offers Michelin-quality food at reasonable prices. It’s a culinary experience that’s both inventive and delicious.
Sunset sail – If the weather suits, enjoy a sunset sail. Glide along Barcelona’s coastline and watch the city’s skyline transform as the sun sets. It’s a chic and relaxing way to take in the city’s beauty. Enjoy light bites and some spanish wine on your cruise.
Final stroll through Passeig de Gràcia – Before you bid adieu to Barcelona, take a leisurely stroll down Passeig de Gràcia. Admire the luxury shops (I’m a fan of Massimo Dutti, Zara’s stylish sibling, and the iconic Spanish brand Loewe) and of course architectural marvels like Casa Batlló and Casa Milà, making for a glamorous end to your visit.
