Things to do in Rome, Italy

View of the St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.

City Tour by Vespa: Whether you're an Audrey Hepburn or a Lizzie McGuire, you will love zipping through the streets (with a driver!) and exploring lesser known parts of Rome.

Colosseum: Tour the infamous landmark of Rome ; then head next door to the gorgeous rooftop terrace of Aroma for an aperol spritz.

Vatican: The best way to explore the Sistine Chapel is an early morning tour, prior to public entry. It will allow you to explore at your own pace without the crowds.

Trevi Fountain: A must stop, throw a coin in and make a wish, and as the legend goes, you will return to Rome. If you want the iconic photo with no crowds, head here early AM or late in the evening.

Piazza Navona: Famous, beautiful plaza - great stop for an espresso or aperol spritz and to people watch in the huge piazza!

Food Tour: The best way to sample all of the famous Roman foods with the best guides.

Buco della serratura dell’Ordine di Malta: My favorite secret spot in Rome ; this is a "secret" key hole you look through to view St Peter's Basilica - it is famous for being 3 places in one - you are standing in Rome, looking through the Knights of Malta's property to see St Peter's in the Vatican.

Cooking Class: Pasta or pizza or gelato or tiramisu, name your favorites! A great way to learn more about the cuisine and even prepare it yourself - a skill from Rome you can take home!
