Curator’s statement
Amsterdam is a city filled with vibrant culture and artistry that has always mystified me with its unique architecture and canal style of living. The narrow cobblestone alleys make it the perfect walking or biking landscape for tourists to experience the city like a local. Dutch history played a key role in early America, influencing our infrastucture and customs.

Day 1: Nine Streets & dinner

Secret Garden Restaurant
My top tip is to stay at one of the recommended hotels along the canals. They put you in the best starting location with the most stunning views, along with walking access to the most popular destinations.
The best transportation within the city are the trams that run on the outer edges of the canal circle, but always be prepared to walk. You can also rent a bike to experience Amsterdam like a local.
1. Check into your hotel, freshen up and begin exploring the Nine Streets district.
2. Later, head to Secret Garden for a Japanese/Peruvian style dinner meant to be shared. It has the most stunning interior design and a front bar/lounge and DJ.
Day 2: Van Gogh Museum & river cruise

Van Gogh Museum
1. Grab breakfast at Bakers & Roasters in the De Pijp District.
2. From there, take a walk to the Van Gogh Museum, or any of the many museums in the plaza.
3. After your cultural experience, head to Kaasbar, which is a rotating cheese and charcuterie bar. This was by far my favorite casual dining spot during the trip.
4. Then, make your way to a river cruise along the canal that offers hot mulled wine and refreshments. (Our skippers were incredibly knowledgeable and so fun to chat with. I learned so much about Dutch history.)
5. After your cruise, head to Pesca for dinner and a "show" in the Theatre District. Pesca is known for its immersive dinner experience where you pick from the day's fresh catch and are served the best wine pairing for your choices. This was hands-down one of the best meals I have ever had.
Day 3: Anne Frank Museum & Foodhallen

1. Breakfast at Box Social in the Jordaan neighborhood.
2. Walk over to the Anne Frank Museum (purchase tickets and an entry time on their website beforehand).
3. If you have time, stop by the Tulip Museum nearby.
4. Stroll through the streets till you arrive at Foodhallen (a food hall as well as artisanal marketplace).
5. Visit the Royal Palace in Dam Square on your way back to the hotel.
6. Dinner at The Dutchess and specialty cocktails at The Flying Dutchman afterwards.
