Natural Wonders

Grand Teton National Park: Whether you are an experienced hiker and want to explore the trails up the Teton ridge or are a more laid back nature lover, Grand Teton National Park has something for you. Driving around the park, you can’t help but get out and take some pictures of the amazing natural beauty that surrounds you. Bison, bears, and moose are only some of the animals that you might encounter on your journey. Don’t forget your camera!

Yellowstone National Park:The United States’ first national park has so much on offer that it is a destination unto itself. However, even if you only have a day to explore it during your trip to Jackson, you can definitely make it to some of its greatest hits such as Old Faithful and several of the geyser basins. Most of these areas are not open to automobile traffic during the winter months so spring affords a great time to visit without the crowds of summer.

Adventures

Ride the tram at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort: Want to get a bird’s eye view of all this natural splendor? Ride the tram and try to spot a Bald Eagle in flight. This is also a great way to access some amazing hiking trails.

Rafting along the Snake River: Take an easy float along the Snake while your guides point out eagles, moose and elk. Learn a bit more about this magical place where “the buffalo roam.”

Learn to Fly Fish: Ready to channel your inner Brad Pitt in “A River Runs Through It”? Jackson is a great place to start. There are many local companies that can supply you with all the trappings necessary to help you catch the big one!

Go for a Trail Ride: There is no better place in the world to live out your cowboy fantasies than Jackson Hole. A famous haunt of cowboys and outlaws, I am sure you will hear a few tall tales from your guide along the trail.

In-Town Pursuits:

Shopping around Jackson Town Square: When you need a little retail therapy break during your trip head on over to Jackson Town Square. You can take your picture under the famous elk antler arches and then head around the square to explore local shops and galleries.

Two Steppin’ at the Wort Hotel: With live music around four nights a week, there is a good chance that you’ll be able to wander into the bar at the Wort while you are in town and have a little dance or enjoy some music by local musicians.
