Curator’s statement

Bali holds a cherished place in my heart, woven into the tapestry of our journey as a couple. It was amid the vibrant landscapes and rich culture of Bali that my now fiancé and I discovered the depth of our shared love for exploration. Our 2022 trip to this tropical haven marked a pivotal moment, one where we unearthed our passion for travel and embraced the joy of discovering new experiences together. It is a place that forever serves as the benchmark against which we measure the magic of every subsequent trip. Bali ignited within us a thirst for discovery and an appreciation for life's vibrant hues.

Things to do in Bali

cliff-with-flowers-bali-travel-guide
  • Body Factory Bali- An ideal spot for a workout, sunbathing, a refreshing plunge in the pool or an ice bath if you are into that. Offering the perfect trifecta of fitness, relaxation and rejuvenation.

  • Finn's Beach Club - Indulge in beachfront extravagance, where pool party meets chic day beds intersect.

  • Sekempul Waterfall, Water Slide Lemukih, Fiji Rice Terraces - Taking a tour to visit these sites takes the cake for our absolute favorite day of our trip.

  • Jungle Fish Bali - This resort in Ubud is a great place to overlook beautiful rice terraces from the infinity pool for a day of R&R. You do not need to be a guest to go and enjoy. They also have a great restaurant.

  • Bali Dirt Bike Park - For the adventurous ones, this was my fiancé's idea.

Monkey Forest Ubud

  • Uluwatu Temple - A must see down in Uluwatu. Sarongs are available at the entrance but still be sure to bring conservative clothing to ensure you are respecting the culture. They also do sunset fire dances here.

  • Savaya Bali - Hands down the best night we had, drinks, music and seafood towers were flowing! A bit pricey but something I'd definitely encourage saving those extra few bucks for!

Day Trips:

Places to eat & drink in Bali

  • Floating breakfast - Most accommodations have the option for your breakfast to be delivered right to your pool.

  • La Brisa - Great menu paired with an even better sunset view. We really enjoyed our pizza.

  • Luma - Great ambiance and Mediterranean inspired.

  • Kynd - Smoothie bowls

  • Simply Social - SUSHI

Bali Belly is a real thing, so try to have your doctor at home prescribe you antibiotics in case you need them. Better safe than sorry!
