Curator’s statement
I recently had an opportunity to catch a flight to visit friends in St Croix, located in the United States Virgin Islands. The largest of the unincorporated territories of the United States, the island and the locals will sure welcome you with open arms! My mainstay was on the Island of St Croix, USVI. However, we did take the opportunity to catch a commuter plane over to St Thomas, USVI. We then took the ferry over to St John, USVI, which gave us a unique experience of seeing all three islands in one trip.

Things to do in St Croix
Take a land tour with J&T Adventure! Jacqueline and Tina are great tour guides. Jacqueline was born on St Thomas and Tina from the Northeast, has lived on the island for over seven years and truly has the history and the places to see on the island. They have different types of tours that you can choose from that suit your needs.
Fly over to the other islands. Fly The Whale Airlines was a great commuter plane allowing us to fly over to St Thomas and St John. Savana was our pilot who was a true professional getting us safely to and from each island (ferry to St John via car).
Places to eat & drink in St Croix
Domino Club St Croix: Head up into the Rainforest to experience this local favorite bar and restaurant. The day of our visit we didn’t get to see the famous pigs or eat, but I can assure you that the owner poured a great drink or few.
The Landing Beach Bar: This was a favorite spot for lunch and drinks. Sitting at the bar allows you to see the water and enjoy a delicious meal with a local flare. A great place to mix and mingle with other visitors and locals.
Rhythm’s at Rainbow Beach: You are sure to find authentic Caribbean food at this popular beach bar. Jerk Chicken Tacos were definitely full of flavor! Here you can also rent beach umbrellas and chairs, so get there early if that is your desire to get to your favorite spot.
Louie & Nacho’s Beach Bar: This was a fun bar to visit on the beach. It was small in nature but had a great vibe for someone wanting to just have a few low-key drinks.
