Day 1: Arrival in Dublin

The inside of Trinity College Library, with impressive wooden bookshelves, an arched ceiling and marble busts of famous thinkers.

Begin your Irish adventure by flying into Dublin Airport. Check into The College Green Hotel Dublin, Autograph Collection, ideally located in the heart of Dublin and offering walkable access to many attractions. This hotel is also extremely close to Trinity College, so if you have time on your first day, that makes a great initial outing. You can take a guided tour of the campus and enjoy the Book of Kells experience in one visit. Later, enjoy dinner in the city.

Day 2: Dublin exploration

Two people clinking pints of Guinness of beer with a city view in the background.

Today, you may want to start by exploring the EPIC museum, which delves into Irish immigration and the impact of the Irish all over the world. It’s an engaging experience and especially interesting if you have any Irish heritage. A pub lunch is a must in Dublin — stop by Doheny & Nesbitt for some fish and chips or shepherd’s pie. Continue your day with a visit to the Guinness Storehouse. You can take a self-guided tour as you climb all seven levels of the storehouse and learn about the process of making Guinness. End your tour in the Gravity Bar and sip on a pint while you take in the view of Dublin from above. If time permits, you may also want to try a tour of Teeling Distillery for a taste of Ireland’s finest whiskey.

Day 3: Travel to Killarney

A pathway among trees.

Depart Dublin and travel southwest to Killarney Park Hotel, a luxurious retreat nestled amidst the stunning landscapes of County Kerry. You may choose to take trains or self drive for this itinerary. Enjoy shopping in town, where you will find numerous boutiques with local goods. You may also want to take a stroll in Killarney Park, located right next to the hotel. Later, indulge in a delightful dinner at the hotel's acclaimed restaurant, Peregrine.

Day 4: Ross Castle and Innisfallen Island

The edge of a blue boat on a river.

After breakfast, embark on a scenic boat trip from Ross Castle to Innisfallen Island, where you can explore ancient ruins and lush greenery, soaking in the serene beauty of Killarney National Park. You can then continue your adventure in the park by visiting Muckross House, a 19th-century Victorian mansion set amidst the picturesque national park. While there, you may also want to explore the gardens and the traditional farm.

Day 5: Dromoland Castle

Grey castle surrounded by green garden with purple flowers.

Journey to Dromoland Castle, a historic estate offering elegant accommodations, exquisite dining and a range of outdoor activities, including golf, falconry and horseback riding. Immerse yourself in the grandeur of this majestic castle and its picturesque surroundings. If you are ready for some relaxation, the Castle Spa is a great place to unwind. Dromoland Castle is also a wonderful place to enjoy afternoon tea.

Day 6: Cliffs of Moher

Cliffs on ocean shore.

No journey to Ireland is complete without experiencing the awe-inspiring Cliffs of Moher, and that’s exactly where you will go today. Towering over the Atlantic Ocean, these dramatic cliffs offer breathtaking panoramic views that capture the wild beauty of Ireland's west coast. Stroll along the cliffside paths, feel the refreshing sea breeze, and immerse yourself in the stunning natural scenery. Whether you're a photography enthusiast or simply a lover of nature, the Cliffs of Moher promise an unforgettable adventure that will leave you spellbound. Upon returning to Dromoland Castle, you can dine in one of the hotel’s lovely restaurants.

Day 7: Departure from Dublin

A city street with buildings.

Bid farewell to the Emerald Isle as you either depart from the Shannon airport today or travel back to Dublin for your departure flight. You’ll be bringing with you cherished memories of your unforgettable Irish journey. If you are departing from Dublin, you'll appreciate the convenience of clearing customs there rather than in the US, saving time upon arrival to your home airport.
