Things to do in Camogli

Hiking the Abbazia di San Fruttuoso trails

Camogli is the perfect place to delve into the "il dolce far niente" vibe.

  • Wander the city streets by foot, stopping in the local mom and pop shops for gelato, cappuccinos, their famous focaccia and plenty of spots for an aperitivo.

  • Head to the Castle della Dragonara and make sure to visit the golden sparkling Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta.

  • Hike to the church of San Nicolò di Capodimonte — legend has it this originated in 345, but the first documents are from 1141. Make sure to catch the gorgeous viewpoints of Camogli along the way.

  • Park yourself at one of the lidos and enjoy the people-watching and spritzes all day long.

  • Check out the local jewelry and leather stores all along Via Giuseppe Garibaldi.

  • Take the ferry to picturesque 10th-century Abbazia di San Fruttuoso and spend the day exploring the abbey, lounging on the lido and hiking the several surrounding trails. Pro tip: sit on the top deck to avoid seasickness!

Places to eat & drink in Camogli

  • Sâ: A must! Renowned for its fresh, local seafood, showcasing the best of Ligurian ingredients. The menu often features freshly caught fish, traditional pasta dishes like trofie al pesto and local specialties such as farinata (a chickpea-based savory pancake). The restaurant also offers a range of regional wines, perfect for pairing with the delicious meals. The rustic decor creates a cozy yet refined ambiance. Whether you're seated indoors or at one of the outdoor tables, you can enjoy the village’s stunning coastal views while savoring a meal crafted with care and local passion. Make reservations in advance!

  • Izoa: Another amazing dinner (or lunch) location with sea views, fresh Ligurian seafood, modern and crisp ambience and excellent service. Reservations recommended.

  • Revello: One of the most delicious focaccias you'll ever taste. Grab your takeaway and enjoy while watching the sea.
