Curator’s statement
Tulum's #1 black book to partying. I first discovered Tulum over 11 years ago when it was a sleepy holistic retreat hideaway (famous for the Tulum ruins and white sand beaches). I moved there during COVID to discover an electronic music and party mecca on par with Ibiza. Although Tulum's partying is next level, it’s the people you meet, the local culture and the surprises you encounter that make Tulum so magical and unique. Tourists and locals alike are always in vacation mode and you can party for days on end — there’s always another after! Tulum’s nightlife and Tulum’s after-party scene are next level. From 20k-person Afterlife Tulum & Tomorrowland Zamna Tulum jungle parties to DJs spinning in caves and cenotes to popping Dom at elite beach clubs, the Tulum party scene is always alive with action. And when you’re ready for a siesta, the pristine white sand beaches and crystal clear cenotes provide the perfect oasis retreat. Hold the sleep and be ready to rave in Tulum with the most professional global partiers. You’re in the best hands with me as I have all the local secrets and have access to exclusive experiences and parties. I’ve also planned many bach parties in Tulum, so can help you plan the most unforgettable trip!

Day Parties at the best Tulum beach clubs
Party at the best beach clubs in Tulum. I’ll hook you up with access to the top beach clubs and make sure you’re given the best tables and service wherever you go! At these beach clubs you’re guaranteed an all-out day party. Think Vegas pool party on the beach - champagne-spraying, sparklers, saxophonist, tequila shots and more!
Taboo Tulum: This is Rosa Negra Group’s top spot in Tulum — the craziest of the beach clubs — think XS Vegas on the beach!
Tantra Tulum: A bit classier than Taboo but just as fun, bring on the champagne!
Bagatelle Tulum: Classier beach club with pool and resident DJs during the day and an Italian supperclub at night (has sister clubs in Cabo, St. Barth and Mykonos)!
IT Tulum Beach Club: The newcomer to the 2025 scene, formerly Leemba Beach Club. They will be launching a Zamna on the Beach popup / takeover the entire month of January, so prepare for it to be a top spot in 2025! Expect Zamna headliners to spin here after they tear up the jungle on previous nights! Amazing new venue remodel, too with pool, sound, DJ booth and lots of VIP areas. IT also boasts sister locations globally: IT Ibiza, IT Milan, IT Maison Milan, IT London — Terra by IT and IT Porto Cervo.
Mia Beach Club: Mia Tulum returns for another season! Mia hosts a DJ booth right on the beach with afro and house music all afternoon and day beds literally on the sand. Come here for a more casual vibe. It still has an amazing party atmosphere minus the over-the-top bottle-popping scene and tan only steps to the crystal clear Caribbean.
Gitano Beach: A newcomer in 2024, Gitano Tulum’s beach location has gained popularity as a more chill beach club option without the rave scene. Excellent food and cocktails accompany a pristine beachfront location further down the hotel zone road. Come here for a “recovery” day if such a thing exists;).
The world’s only cenote club
Party (and relax) all day at Vesica Tulum Cenote Club, the world’s only cenote club. Open daily 9 am-6 pm, but best Fri–Sun when they have great local and visiting DJs spinning chill afro, indie and organic house music. They often do Cenote Brunch on Monday’s too, with DJs. A cenote is a natural sinkhole with crystal clear water coming from ancient underground rivers. Vesica combines this natural oasis with the incredible Tulum vibes. Save your appetite - Vesica Tulum boasts an excellent menu of locally sourced Mexican cuisine and a robust menu of tequilas and mezcals.
Experience a Tulum full moon party at Papaya Playa Project
This was one of the first spots in Tulum to host parties. It still holds a reputation as a must-visit venue on your Tulum party tour. Save your Saturday night plans for Papaya Playa Project. Check the lunar calendar — PPP is famous for its once-a-month full moon parties on the beach under the stars. Also during January, they host NYE and more events, so check their calendar! The vibe is amazing here and the party often lasts later than the rest of Tulum's beach clubs with some of the best DJs and electronic music. This is one of the only spots you can see the sun rise on the beach on New Year’s Eve!
World famous Tulum jungle parties
Tulum is renowned for its jungle parties. You have to go to one to understand what a Tulum jungle party experience entails. A few of the top ones include now-global brand, Zamna, Tulum’s more local 18-hour jungle party put on by Damian Lazurus and crew - Day Zero on January 11th and TEHMPLO which is showcasing Solomun on January 9th. I’ll make sure you get tickets (even if they show as sold out) or tables to the best spots in each as well as VIP private transportation. You’ll also want to be decked out in the latest Tuluminati wear (boho style clothing) and I’ll get you hooked up with top local designers so you look the part!

This happens one to two times a month and is known for bringing in top-notch electronic music DJs, particularly techno headliners. Tulum late-night clubs
Tulum has two nightclubs, which stay open after the 1 am (beach) and 2 am (center) bar and beach club curfews. I’ll make sure you don’t wait in line with access to VIP tables at Bonbonniere and Bestiario. Both clubs host top local and visiting DJs.
Bonbonniere Tulum: High-end indoor (yes there’s AC!) nightclub in hotel zone open til late - think Miami/LA/NYC club vibes. This is the only spot in the beach / hotel zone open til early hours. Great sound system with headliners on weekends. Usually open Wed–Sun.
Bestiario Tulum: A newcomer to Tulum’s scene in 2024. Bestiario quickly established itself as the go-to late-night spot for amazing local and visiting electronic music and no commercial EDM here. Discover amazing talent and dance into the wee hours at the boiler-room-style venue in Tulum’s center popular with locals. Usually open Wed–Mon.
Party hostels
If there’s nothing going on at the beach and you’re looking for some hostel frat-style fun, then head to one of Tulum’s top party hostels!
Straw Hat: Never a dull moment here. Spin the wheel for a free (body) shot, but be careful what you wish for as you may end up stripping on the bar or in the pool naked! Packed every night of the week with a fun international hostel crowd and commercial DJ. And almost guaranteed you won’t go home alone ;)
Che Tulum: Tulum’s Argentinian party hostel. Similar to Straw Hat, you can count on Che Hostel for a fun time. Spin the wheel here or join in on their regular drinking games by the pool and who knows where the night will end (or with who!)! Also great Argentinian bar fare!
Mayan Monkey Tulum: The largest hostel in town with a reputation for partiers. Fun rooftop hostel bar and pool for lounging (and pickups) open during day and night with occasional DJ events.
Tulum after-parties
Tulum is infamous for its after-parties. I’ll make sure you’re on the inside scoop of where to go when everything closes. There’s always an after in Tulum. I’ll hook you up with some of the most exclusive and luxury villa parties where there’s always a beautiful crowd and DJ spinning. If you’re lucky, you’ll find yourself whisked away to a cenote or jungle cave after party with top DJs!
Refuel
Tulum Spa & Relax Day: Not everyone is superhuman. We all need a little R&R in between benders. I’ll show you the top spots to recuperate so you’re back on the dance floor in no time. You don’t even have to move! I have connections with the best local Tulum massage therapists, as well as Tulum IV hydration therapy, who will come to your door. And if you need a little spa circuit, I’ll set you up at Leaf Day Spa or Nomade’s Yaan Spa Tulum with a day pass to hit the steam room, sauna and plunge pools.

Rosa Negra Tulum: Lively Latin American cuisine restaurant with resident DJ, fire shows and dancers.
Bagatelle Tulum: Upscale Italian supper club with shows and resident DJ.
Gitano Tulum: Top Friday night spot for dinner and “Funky Disco” with DJs at Gitano Jungle location - incredible Mexican fusion cuisine and exquisite cocktails.

Bak Tulum: Makes its return for 2025. Excellent Tulum steakhouse with a side of fire and dancers.
Local spots in Tulum Centro
La Pizzine Tria: Hidden gem in Tulum's centro. La Pizzine Tulum hosts local DJs in an open-air courtyard with rooftop 1–2 nights a week. Monday nights sell out regularly (DM them on Sunday for a guest list!). The pizza is great, and locals and expats flock here to let loose. The reasonable prices don’t hurt either!
Obsidiana Tulum: Great local rooftop bar which hosts local and visiting Afro and Latin house DJs. Stop in for drinks while you can also order food from their sister restaurant across the street, Onyx to accompany your margaritas!
Beer House Tulum: Houses the best local craft beer in Quintana Roo, Mundo Maya Brewing Company. Beer House (formerly Alto Fuego Tulum) has a tap room here and upstairs you will find a Tulum-style palapa bar complete with pool, which regularly hosts local DJ events. Great pub fare available as well. Also don’t miss out on Mundo Maya’s great local hard seltzers.

Tulum is centrally located on the Yucatan peninsula. You're within four hours of many more party spots to complement your time in Tulum — here’s my top picks below. I can help curate customized itineraries around the Yucatan peninsula by car or the recently completed Tren Maya — a brand new state-of-the art high-speed passenger train that connects all the major cities. Each location has a different party style, from laid-back beach vibes to Latin music clubs to booze cruises with DJs to deserted white sand islands.:
Playa del Carmen: Beach clubs and great bar scene with electronic and Latin music. A more city feel right on the beach (all city blocks and walk everywhere). Top party spots include Santino and Mamitas Beach Club, Playa del Carmen. Only 45 minutes north of Tulum.
Cancun: More commercial scene and music but fun to do once. Open-bar options are a plus! Two hours north of Tulum. Check out Nomads Hostel and Coco Bongo for Cirque du Soleil / cabaret-style nightclub or Muun nightclub for electronic.
Holbox Island: More laid-back island NW of Cancun but can still find electronic music dancing under stars! 3-hour drive or bus north of Tulum, then a short ferry ride. Check out Che Hostel, Isla Holbox.
Isla Mujeres: Fun island only 20 min boat ride off Cancun worth a couple nights with a couple newer beach clubs with electronic music. Check out Mayan Monkey Hostel.
Bacalar: Laid-back vibes with a couple party hostels that put on DJs regularly on a crystal clear turquoise lagoon. Only two hours south of Tulum. Book Yak Lake House hostel right on the lagoon! Yak Hostel Bacalar has the best party scene in town!
