Curator’s statement

Portugal is not just a place, it is a feeling! Where history dances with modernity. A coastal gem complete with rolling vineyards, medieval castles and gorgeous shores.

Things to do in Portugal

A river stream in a valley during the daytime

Begin in Porto, with a day trip to the Douro Valley for a River Cruise. Move on to Lisbon and don’t forget to include a day trip to Sintra! Finally, make your way South to Algarve, where nature abounds.

Porto and Lisbon are both doable without a car, but would suggest renting a vehicle for the Algarve portion of your trip.

  • Wine tour and river cruise in the Douro Valley

  • Boat trip from Lagos in the Algarve region

  • Cooking class in Lisbon
