Stroll along the waterfront promenade, admire the historic architecture, explore the shops and boutiques or indulge in delicious cuisine at one of the many restaurants.

Whether you're seeking outdoor activities, cultural experiences or simply a relaxing atmosphere, the Old Port is a must-visit destination in Montreal. End your first day with The Aura show at Notre Dame de Paris. This is a stunning light and sound spectacle that illuminates the cathedral's facade with vibrant colors and projections. It is an immersive experience that brings the iconic building to life, creating a magical atmosphere that captivates audiences of all ages. Make sure to schedule this ahead of time.

Immerse yourself in the vibrant arts scene of the Quartier des Spectacles. Start your day by exploring the area's street art and public installations. Then, catch a show at one of the world-class theaters or music venues.

Shop for unique souvenirs and fashion finds at the trendy boutiques and enjoy a delicious meal at one of the many restaurants and food trucks. As the sun sets, experience the vibrant nightlife and catch a live music performance.

Train to Quebec City. A convenient and scenic way to travel between Montreal and Quebec City is by train. The VIA Rail Canada train service offers a comfortable and enjoyable journey that allows you to relax and admire the beautiful scenery along the way.

The train takes between two to three hours, depending on the route you choose and takes you through rolling hills with views of the St. Lawrence River.

Day 4: Explore the history and beauty of Quebec City

A vibrant street adorned with a canopy of colorful umbrellas, creating a whimsical and picturesque urban scene.

Quebec City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a captivating city steeped in history and natural beauty. Explore the fortified walls that surround the historic Old City, and visit the imposing Citadelle of Quebec, one of North America's largest fortresses. Marvel at the grandeur of the Château Frontenac, a world-famous landmark, and take a guided tour to learn about its rich history.

Venture to the Plains of Abraham, the site of the decisive Battle of the Plains of Abraham in 1759. Explore the battlefield, learn about the events that shaped Canada's history and enjoy panoramic views of the St. Lawrence River and the surrounding landscape.

Whether you're a history buff, a nature lover or simply seeking a charming and unique destination, Quebec City offers something for everyone.

Day 5: Seasonal offerings

A sunny street view with outdoor red tables and umbrellas, flanked by old buildings, suggests a quaint European-style cafe setting.

In the winter, enjoy guided fat tire tours, ice skating, snow tubing, ice fishing or a traditional sugar shack experience.

During the summer, soar through the treetops on a zip line, learn to cook authentic Quebec cuisine or embark on a food tour to discover the city's culinary delights.
