Things to do in Tulum, Mexico

The first thing people mostly do in Tulum is visit the archaeological site. Many ancient sites still stand tall alongside the Caribbean Sea. Try to reach all the places early to avoid crowds and get easy access.
Rent a bicycle
Exploring Tulum on a bicycle can be very interesting. You can make stops wherever you want and drive your bicycle near different attractions. You can rent a bike from a local company or book a tour that includes a guided tour, meal and a cenote visit. All the tickets are arranged by the tour company.
Parque Nacional Tulum
After bike ride, hit the beach for a cool-down experience. You can relax on the beach at Parque Nacional Tulum. Mostly couples relax in this area. Bring your hat, clothes, blanket and plenty of water to drink. Get eco-friendly sunblock to avoid harming second largest coral reef in the world due to chemicals.
Rooftop terraces and observation decks
There are many rooftop terraces where you can have a delicious meal and drink. Visit one of the observation decks to enjoy an evening view of the beautiful beach.
Explore archaeological sites
Tulum is said to be the last Mayan city in the world. You can explore many archaeological sites, such as Coba, Muyil and Xel-Ha. Make your trip more interesting by visiting the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve next to a jungle. Take a boat trip among the freshwater lagoons.
Dive in the cenotes
Tulum is surrounded by many cenotes. You can dive in and explore their unique natural composition and underwater life. Some cenotes are like clear water ponds. They have stone roofs, stalactites and stalagmites compositions. Avoid going inside very smaller ones if you feel claustrophobic in small spaces.
