Curator’s statement
India is a land of diverse cultures, breathtaking landscapes and rich history, making it a must-visit destination for any traveler. My month-long exploration of India in September 2023 allowed me to dive deep into the rich tapestry of the country's historical landmarks and savor its world-renowned cuisine and diverse cultures, while exploring its historical landmarks, too. This firsthand experience has equipped me with invaluable insights and a deep understanding of the country's top attractions, ensuring that I can curate a list of the best places to see and activities to engage in, enabling travelers to make the most of their time in this captivating and multifaceted nation.

Things to do in India
Jaipur
Paprika Gate: A must!!! With it's stunningly vibrant and colorful walls, this location is a great place for photos.
Hawa Mahal (Red Building): Another Instagram worthy location with the best views! Go to the cafe across the street and grab a coffee.
The City Palace: Close to the Hawa Mahal, this opulent 18th century palace (which is now a museum and royal residence) is a must see. If you have time, make sure to stop by the Janitor Mantar which is an astronomical observatory and UNESCO World Heritage Site. It features a collection of architectural astronomical instruments used for measuring time, predicting the movements of the sun, moon, and planets and compiling astronomical tables.
Jal Mahal (Floating): A beautiful palace in the middle of Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur City.
The Albert Hall Museum: The oldest museum of the state in Jaipur and functions as the state museum of Rajasthan, India.
Amber Fort: Beautiful and intricate mirror work.
Amer Stepwell: An ancient site featuring steps that lead down to a water well.
Go to the Spa! Get a shirodara treatment.
Do a Yoga Class: Yoga originates from India!
Where to Shop:
Teatro Dhora: A very cute boutique with jewlery, books and unique clothing!
Handicraft Haveli: The best handicraft in town! Great for small to large home decor and hand-crafted souvenirs. They have both original and duplicated pieces.

Places to eat & drink in India
It's important to note that in India, cows are considered sacred, therefore, you will not find any type of cow meat on the menus. Instead, they are lamb-focused!
Suvarna Mahal Restaurant: A beautiful and upscale restaurant in the Rambagh Palace. Make sure to try the Rajasthan Thali, a tray filled with various traditional dishes all meant to be eaten with your hands. Expect the food to keep you full with its large amounts of starches, protein and spices.
Bar Palladio: Set in an all-blue setting, this destination is great for lunch or dinner (and photos too!).
Amber Palace: Visit for lunch after going to the Amber Fort.
