Day 1: Arrive at Cochin International airport

After arrival at the Cochin International airport, you can stay at an eco-friendly resort. Leave your luggage at your accommodation and head towards the historical Fort Kochi. You can also have a relaxing boat trip at the natural harbor and port of Kochi. You can watch Kathakali performances in the theater, which is a very interesting form of local art and culture.
Day 2: Green tea plantations

Visit Munnar to explore the lush green tea plantations. There are various other spices also grown in that area. It looks very unique because of the green waves in the mountains. Do not forget that the temperature of Munnar is a bit cooler, so dress according to that. There are many interesting things to do in this area and neighborhood, such as visiting Eravikulam National park, Lockhart tea factory, vegetable market and exploring local lifestyle.
Day 3: Cardamom in Thekkady

Visit cardamom hills in Thekkady. The huge plantations of cardamom make this area look very vibrant and attractive. Many other spices are also grown here, such as cinnamon, pepper and cloves. You can also see many spices in their raw form.
Day 4: Periyar National Park

Go for a four to five kilometer hike at Periyar National Park. It has its own distinct flora and fauna. This park is the tiger reserve with many other species of birds, butterflies and other wild animals. There is a local theater where you can watch a local martial arts performance known as Kalaripayattu. The performance involves the use of different types of weapons, such as Urumi, swords, long sticks, daggers and more.
Day 5: Drive to Kumarakom

Drive to Kumarakom to enjoy serene views of the backwater village and natural beauty. This agrarian destination offers a delicious variety of fresh seafood. You can witness many fishermen groups in the water and canals. There is a bird sanctuary that is home to egrets, kingfishers, herons, darters and many other migratory bird species.
You can stay in the resort for a night and leave for the airport from this beautiful place.
