Day trips

Just outside of Flagstaff lays the awe-inspiring Grand Canyon. Getting there is fun with multiple ways (take US 180 for a scenic drive, take I-40/AZ64 for a more direct route or stop in Williams, Arizona, and take the Grand Canyon Train). Once there, stand on the rim and gaze at the vast expanse of layered rock or hike into its depths (make sure you bring plenty of water). The Grand Canyon offers an experience that is both humbling and unforgettable.

South of Flagstaff on US 89A is the breathtaking and mystical town of Sedona. Known for vibrant red rock formations and mystical energy vortexes, Sedona is a great place to spend a day. Look at doing the iconic Pink Jeep tour or visiting the only McDonald's that had to change its famous yellow arch to turquoise to blend in with the city's natural beauty and red rocks.
