Things to do in Los Angeles

Here are five things you can do to make the most out of your stay at the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa before or after your cruise:
Beach day extravaganza
Utilize the beach essentials: Chairs, umbrellas and towels provided by the resort to spend the day enjoying the Pacific Ocean.
Take advantage of the two-for-one half-day bike rental at Toes on the Nose to ride along the boardwalk or visit nearby Newport Beach.
Water fun and relaxation
Spend the day enjoying the resort’s heated pools, hot tubs and water slides. There is a separate pool catered to families with two waterslides and a pool bar/grill. Don’t forget to grab some mini melts ice cream from the poolside bar!
A unique and fun option for the kids was the Mermaid Experience. They have an instructor teach kids how to swim like a mermaid. My daughter loved it!
Active wellness and fitness
Kickstart your day with a workout at the 24-hour fitness center equipped with Peloton bikes and the latest fitness equipment.
Participate in a fitness class offered at the resort to mix up your workout routine.
Family-friendly entertainment
Enjoy the daily koi fish feeding with the kids, a serene and educational activity.
In the evening, experience the outdoor movies for a relaxing and entertaining family night.
Try the Dig It! Interactive sandcastle building for a fun and creative activity with the whole family.
Evening relaxation
Grab a pizza from Tower 15 Pizza to enjoy dinner outside at one of the many sitting areas and cozy up by one of the resort’s firepits for dessert, roasting s’mores under the stars.
Places to eat & drink in Los Angeles

While the resort has many great options, if you want a taste of local cuisine, these three are great options to try:
Ruby's Diner
Wander to the end of the famous Huntington Beach Pier for lunch at Ruby’s Diner. A charming spot with a 50s-style ambiance known for its delicious hamburgers, onion rings and milkshakes — all served in a nostalgic setting.
Fred's Cantina
Fred's Cantina offers a vibrant atmosphere, Mexican cuisine and a fantastic ocean view. The menu features favorites like shrimp tacos, calamari and margaritas, all enjoyed in a lively environment.
Duke's Huntington Beach
Duke's is a popular beachfront restaurant known for its Hawaiian-inspired dishes and stunning ocean views. The menu includes fresh seafood, steak and the famous Hula Pie dessert.
