Curator’s statement

Charlotte, North Carolina, is the perfect destination for a romantic getaway, or solo one. It has a fantastic uptown city area and so many charming neighborhoods with good restaurants and local shopping. I'm a Southern girl through and through, so I appreciate a small city with all of the amenities of a big one!

Where to stay

Unlock perks by contacting Monique to book your trip.

Day 1: Arrive in Charlotte

High rise buildings surrounded by trees during the daytime.

Arrive in Charlotte early evening and check into The Ivey's Hotel. If you're up for a pre-dinner cocktail, head to Sophia's Lounge. One of Charlotte's most upscale cocktail bars, where you will be pleased by the selection of craft cocktails. Finish the night with dinner at Limani Charlotte.

Day 2: Brunch at La Belle Helene

A spread of brunch items plated beautifully with two coffee beverages.

Whether you decide to sleep in or you get started early, you can't miss brunch at Brunch at La Belle Helene. After brunch, you can head over to the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African-American Arts + Culture. Your next stop should be SouthPark Mall! Opt for dinner at one of the upscale restaurants nearby.

Day 3: Request a Late Checkout

Red chairs and tables outside of a café near a sidewalk downtown.

Request a late checkout and enjoy a slow morning-in. On your way out, stop at the perfect brunch spot, Easy Like Sunday!
