Day 1: Drive From Boston to Acadia

Embark on your journey to Acadia National Park with a scenic drive from Boston, filled with fall foliage and a stop at Davis Square Donuts & Bagels for a delicious breakfast. Upon arrival, visit the park's visitor center to collect a map, patch, and stamp—a tradition we recommend to all park visitors.

Afterward, unwind in Bar Harbor, exploring shops and attractions while enjoying local cuisine and beverages. Don't miss out on the exceptional seafood, like Maine lobster and clam chowder.

End your day by soaking in the sunset over the bay and reflecting on your adventures before retiring to your hotel.

Day 2: Hiking Acadia National Park

Day two of your Acadia National Park adventure begins with an early start on the Precipice Trail, a challenging 2.1-mile hike with breathtaking views and a notable elevation gain. Next, conquer the Beehive Trail, featuring iron ladders and scrambles with rewarding vistas over the park and ocean.

Enjoy a peaceful lunch on Sand Beach, known for its beauty and chilly waters, before continuing your exploration along the park loop. Witness the powerful waves at Thunder Hole and the scenic heights at Otter Cliff and Gorham Mountain Trail. Don't miss the opportunity to drive up Cadillac Mountain for sweeping panoramas and consider hiking the South Ridge Trail Loop for a more strenuous adventure.

Cap off your day with a stunning sunset at Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse, a popular spot for photographers. Reflect on your experiences over a celebratory dinner at a local steakhouse, making memories to cherish. Remember to plan hikes strategically and be prepared for varying trail difficulties based on your fitness level.

Day 3: More Trails and Walks

Day three begins with a hearty brunch at Jeannie's Great Maine Breakfast, featuring the camp skillet—a satisfying dish filled with eggs, sausage, onions, peppers and cheese. For those seeking a substantial breakfast or recovering from the previous night, this meal comes highly recommended.

After brunch, take a leisurely stroll around Jordan's Pond, following a scenic portion of the 3.4-mile loop encircling the pond. Continue to the South Bubble Mountain Trailhead for a fun and moderately easy 1.4-mile hike, reaching a summit with stunning views. Don't miss the intriguing large boulder at the top that appears ready to roll off the cliff.

We recommend arriving early at popular spots like Jordan's Pond to avoid crowds and fully appreciate the serene surroundings.
