Skiing was one of the biggest reasons I moved to Colorado! As a Michigan native, I was in search of better skiing! As a Colorado local, the options are truly endless as there is literally something amazing in every direction you go. This guide is designed to provide you with the finest accommodations near some of the top Colorado ski resorts for the ultimate ski vacation! As a lifelong skier, I’ve been to most of these ski resorts and I’m here to help you design the perfect ski trip!

Things to do in Colorado
Colorado is known for having some incredible skiing, and I've paired the finest accommodations for each of the Colorado ski resorts below:
The Sonnenalp offers a boutique feel in the heart of Vail Village, offering a 5-star luxury experience. This property is true European elegance, putting you minutes from Gondola One. All suites consist of balconies and fireplaces. There is also a Kid's Club, European-style spa, and luxury ski concierge services on site.
Breckenridge – One Ski Hill Place, A RockResort
One Ski Hill Place is a ski in/ski out 4-star resort located in Peak 8. A wonderful option with 3 restaurants on site, a free breakfast buffet, an indoor pool & children's pool, and a bowling alley. This property requires a 4-night stay, but puts you right in the heart of Breckenridge Ski Resort.
Beaver Creek – Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort
Park Hyatt Beaver Creek is a luxury 5-star property at the base of Beaver Creek with ski in/ski out access. This resort is also pet-friendly with a wonderful spa and wellness experience and on-site restaurant and room service. This resort is also adjacent to the ski school, which is perfect if you are traveling with little ones.
Keystone and Arapahoe Basin Ski Resorts - Keystone Lodge & Spa
Keystone Lodge & Spa is a 4-star ski hotel with a free shuttle to the slopes. This Resort is located in Lakeside Village with beautiful lake views, a golf course, and a spa on site. Nearby, you can also enjoy the Frisco Adventure Park and the Dillon Reservoir. In nearby Silverthorne, you'll have an array of wonderful dining options.
*Copper Mountain – Cambria Hotel Copper Mountain
Cambria Hotel Copper Mountain is a 3-star property at the base of Copper Mountain and only a 1 minute walk from the ski area. This is a pet friendly hotel that offers free parking, grab and go breakfast, a fitness center, and a restaurant and bar on site.
*Winter Park – Zephyr Mountain Lodge
Zephry Mountain Lodge is a ski in/ski out property at the base of Winter Park that puts you only 110 feet from the gondola. You'll be in close proximity to Village restaurants and retail shops. Ski storage, in-room fireplace, and contactless check-in make this property a wonderful option.
Loveland - Hyatt Vacation Club at The Ranahan
The Hyatt Vacation Club at The Ranahan is a four-star beautiful mountain property in Breckenridge that is approximately a 26-minute drive from Loveland ski area. This property has an indoor & outdoor pool, breakfast to-go, and a bar & restaurant on site. Comfortable rooms with kitchen access offers a great option for families.
Crested Butte – Eleven Scarp Ridge Lodge
Eleven Scarp Ridge Lodge is a beautiful boutique property that feels like a European ski chalet in an authentic mountain town. This property houses an indoor saltwater pool and is in the heart of Crested Butte. What makes this property unique is that each morning a snowcat will be waiting at the front door to transport guests to 1000+ acres of exclusive ski terrain.
Wolf Creek Ski Resort – Pagosa Springs Resort & Spa (Personal favorite)
Pagosa Hot Springs Resort & Spa is a beautiful resort with 25 geothermal pools. It’s a perfect spot for some relaxation and rejuvenation. When in Colorado, a soak in one of our fabulous hot springs is a must-do. This resort has it all! Other activities in the area include biking, kayaking, fishing, skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing.
Telluride Ski Resort – Inn at Lost Creek
The Inn at Lost Creek is a ski in/ski out property offering valet parking, complimentary breakfast, a rooftop hot tub, ski rental and storage, an on-site restaurant and concierge services. You'll also have complimentary access to the spa at their sister property, The Spa at The Peaks Resort.
Steamboat Ski Resort – The Steamboat Grand (Personal favorite)
The Steamboat Grand is the perfect option for a ski in/ski out resort with 328 hotel rooms, spacious condos, and luxurious penthouses. They have a year-round heated pool and two hot tubs. They also offer a health club, Grand Sports Rental Shop, and ski valet and storage.
Aspen – W Aspen & The Sky Residences At W Aspen
The W Aspen is a luxury hotel at the base of Aspen Mountain with ski in/ski out access and 360-degree mountain views. This boutique property is in the perfect location for any alpine adventure you desire. You'll have access to a state-of-the-art FIT fitness center and an incredible pool with mountain views.
Viceroy Snowmass is a ski in/ski out luxury resort with a wellness spa. This beautiful resort has 173 guest rooms and is only a 4-minute walk from the central base of Snowmass and just 10 miles from downtown Aspen.
The Little Nell is a 5-star luxury ski in/ski out property at the base of Aspen Mountain. In addition to some of the finest skiing in Colorado, you can partake in concerts, culinary adventures, and fitness events. This resort also offers First Tracks and Snowcat Powder Tours.
Sunlight Mountain Resort – Hotel Colorado
Hotel Colorado is a beautiful, late 1800s property that is only a 7-minute walk from the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool and a 13-minute walk from the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park in this cute mountain town. You will be a quick 25-minute drive from Sunlight Mountain Resort. Glenwood Springs is a wonderful little town with activities for the whole family.
Powderhorn – Wine Country Inn Palisade
Palisade is an absolutely beautiful area in Colorado with home to 30+ wineries! Wine Country Inn is a Victorian-style property surrounded by vineyards with a seasonal outdoor pool, garden, and a bar and restaurant. The Grand Junction Regional airport is only 12 miles away and Powderhorn ski resort is a quick 36-minute drive.
Silverton Mountain Ski Resort - Hotel Columbia
Hotel Columbia is a cute, boutique property in Telluride that puts you only 9.5 miles from Silverton Mountain Ski Resort. This is a pet-friendly property with complimentary breakfast and a restaurant on site. The closest airport is Telluride Regional Airport.
Granby Ranch – Base Camp One at Granby Ranch
Base Camp One at Granby Ranch offers ski in/ski out access in an array of different size condos. The perfect fit for families or multi-generational groups who may want kitchen access.
Monarch - Roaring River Mountain Lodge
A log home situated only five minutes from the Monarch Mountain Ski Area. You'll also have access to the South Arkansas River, which is a perfect spot for fly-fishing. During the winter months, you must have 4-wheel drive with chains or traction devices.
Purgatory Resort – Purgatory Resort Lodge
Purgatory Resort Lodge is comprised of various size condos in Durango, Colorado that are in close proximity to the main lift of Purgatory Ski Resort. The nearest airports are Telluride and Durango Regional Airports. This is a great option for families or multi-generational groups who may want kitchen access.
Ski Cooper – The Delaware Hotel
The Delaware Hotel is located in downtown Leadville, a Victorian-era mining town situated at 10,158 feet, and is only a 15-minute drive from Ski Cooper ski area.
Hotel Boulderado is a landmark that is located in the heart of downtown Boulder, Colorado. With a stay at this property, you'll be one block away from the Pearl Street Mall and some fabulous dining options. This property is a 37-minute drive from Eldora Mountain.
