Places to eat & drink in Amsterdam

Bakeries and cafes

  • SAINT-JEAN Bakery: The best vegan bakery. I think I will keep coming back to Amsterdam just so I can go here! Make sure to go early and get a Pistachio Cruffin. The best baked good I've ever had. There is usually a line up but it doesn't take too long and note you will likely be taking it to go. There are only 3–4 small tables to sit at!

  • Jardin: Unreal baked goods, breakfast and coffee. I love their high-quality non-dairy milk options and the absence of plastic lids for takeout coffees. The atmosphere is perfect for cozy chats, making it a great place to relax. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a mindful, welcoming coffee experience!

  • Margo's Amsterdam: Lovely vegan bakery. Location on a beautiful side street in the Jordaan neighborhood. Loved their coffee, Pain au Chocolat. They have some great sandwich options as well, like the Reuben.

  • Hummingbird Coffee Amsterdam: Great Coffee and iced lattes. Warm atmosphere and artsy vibe.

Brunch/lunch

  • Little Collins De Pijp: The best brunch I've ever had! Quality and thoughtful ingredients. Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend!

  • FACTORY GIRL Brunch Restaurant: Great healthy brunch/lunch options. I recommend the Healthy Shakshuka. Located in the vibrant De Pijp neighborhood.

  • Black and Blue: Eggs Benedict and steaks!

Dinner

  • Restaurant calisto: Best dinner I had in Amsterdam! Delicious Italian cuisine with knowledgeable staff and great service. Highly recommended. Located in the Jordan district.

  • Toscanini: Recommended by a local and did not disappoint. Great traditional Italian cuisine.

  • HINATA AMSTERDAM: Best Ramen in Amsterdam!

  • De Kas: Chic garden conservatory serving Mediterranean dishes made from organic ingredients grown on-site.

Drinks

  • Café 't Smalle: Cute and cozy place for drinks right on the canal. Enjoy their selection of games to play while you sip your drinks.
